There are only a few days left until the next batch of GL games are accepted, and that would be perfect timing if we could make it in with this wave, considering we just launched.

Could the link please be placed in the OP?

Also I noticed you linked to one of the reviews, if you want to start a list here's another: http://cheatcc.com/pc/rev/ageofwushureview.html#.UWsDRcqRcfh

Well, we still need one more person as a Respondent to make the Guild formal. Then we can invite players like normal.

@TheKoolEagle ran in to a bit of a annoying and ridiculous bug so he cannot be our fourth at the moment.

So let me touch on Guilds for a moment.

As I mentioned before they are fairly indepth, at least compared to your standard MMO.

Guilds have levels, based on their Popularity. Which is calculated by the number of members we have and how much time they spend online.

At Guild Level 2 we can actually go to war with other guilds and try to claim territory. Now our organization is small, but there's room for aggressive expansion*.

Each member of the guild actually gets a bonus to their Vigor. I'm not sure how much, but any amount is pretty sweet.

We can also contribute money and resources to the construction of Guild Buildings, but I think we'd have to have territory first.

If we did have Territory then Guild members would be free to teleport there anytime they want.

The Guild Buildings themselves provide guild members with various bonuses, which are pretty sweet.

However, one thing we will get to do is Guild Missions. Escorting a caravan, raiding other Guild's caravans, and I think a few other things (something about Ambushes?). Which sounds pretty fun to me.

We will also have access to Guild Wars if we so desired. In fact there is a whole Diplomacy screen. We can ally ourselves with a guild and fight their enemies or declare war on some other saps.

The Goons have a fairly large (if not one of the largest guilds) on our server. Now I worked with Goonswarm in EVE when I was a part of the PA Corp (before we joined Goonswarm proper) and it was a nice relationship . If anyone has some contacts in the Goon guild in AoW, maybe we can talk alliance. While we'll probably be too small to have a real Guild War ourselves, I'd still love to be part of one. :P

At the end of the day though, it'd be up to a vote.

*actually there isn't, we'd get our assess kicked. I just like reading that sentence with the Joker's voice. :P

One thing I keep wondering about this game is how to get better gear weapon wise. I've gotten a staff in my time as a Shaolin, but I'm farther down in the story now and have all 3 skill sets, but I didn't get a better staff just yet. Is trading my only option, or can I continue down the Shaolin storyline and get a better one?

I've found loads of treasure chests too but they only seem to contain clothes and recipes...

Well I am a cook, so hopefully my hot buns will make me enough money to get a staff... This seemed like a much more innocent sentence structuring in my head.

One more thing, stall wise, am I pretty much restricted to wherever the game places me at the time I click activate stall? I'm always at the end of the line of a bunch of good shops, with that system.

I think the trade center (one of the buttons in the bottom right area of your UI) opens up a window where you can browse all the stalls in the server. Based on that I'd say that it wouldn't really matter where you put your stall.

EDIT: actually it might only show all the stalls in the current zone? I'm not quite sure

    I think current zone.

I just used the Trade Center to snag myself a sweet deal. Lets just say someone forgot a zero when they put something up for auction. :D

This is incredibly helpful for my sake and (hopefully) my ability to get a deal on a new staff, thank you so much

Oh, and my name on the bluedragon server is Fashi if you want to put me on the big list, getting that character sorted out like my main shaolin and going cooking, so I can steamed bun up the guild if you guys need that. Those things are insanely cheap to produce.

The main one I can think of is that if you don't have VIP, you wont be able to level up a skill offline. This actually isn't that much of a problem until your internal skills are up to about 12 or so which is when it starts taking a couple of hours to level up. The reason is because while you can level up a skill offline, after you level up a skill, it wont continue to level again until you log on and tell it to do so.

Also a fraction of the experience that is converted to cultivation wont be available to you and will be stored until you decide to either pay to obtain it or pay for a month.

But I mean you can do most things I think. I don't think it'd be that bad

How many skills do you have access to at a time?
Like am I going to be juggling skills in and out of the hotbar or is there only like 6 core skills?

Basically is this game controller friendly? Cause it kinda seems that way from the videos/commericals.

Edit: Character name Dwidus, trying to get enough skill to join the guild.

Edit2: I have to join a Major School to join a Guild? What's a Major School? I'm in the Wudang, I thought that was one.

That is a major school, but you are not a real member until you progress a bit in the story. Hit level 5 on your internal skill, and eventually you'll become a real member.

I had run into the having to join a major school first issue too, what you should do is go back and talk to the first master that taught you moves, and see if he has any followup quests, after that it should have you teleport to your starting town where there is a story quest, do that and then you can also talk to the guild manager guy in that town, after that head back to your school and follow the quest stuff to join a guild.

you either have to be level 4 or 5 with your school's wu to join.

I also couldn't figure out what i messed up with on my beggar and rerolled a new character, who was able to get it done easily. I'm extremely happy I rolled with Royal Guard because they are badass.

well do you have enough money? haha, I also thought I saw some weird thing where you can only spend a certain amount of money per day, that might increase with strength or maybe reputation? iirc I could only drop like 350 liang per day, if it costed more than that it could be stopping you

You need "taels" to trade with other players. It's the parallel-universe-evil-twin of the regular money. You can get it by selling stuff to others, kidnapping players or begging.
