The radio station here has been doing a rock marathon fund raiser all week and it's been fucking awesome. Did a show on Burger Records which is awesome because I fucking love Nobunny and Ty Segall and it got me into Personal and the Pizzas which is basically the best band name ever, and also introduced me to the song You Need a Big Man by The Memories which is amazing.
I am taking my little brother to his first 930 Club show this weekend, as I am basically the coolest brother ever.

I picked it up last night, and listened to the whole thing while at work today. I really enjoyed it. It sounds a little more polished than their earlier stuff, obviously, but it's great to see that they can still be creative and move forward without forgetting their garage-rock roots. It was good to hear them again, I really missed them.
I also wanna thank you and minor incident for exposing me to the Screaming Females and Personal and the Pizzas. Both are really talented bands, and the latter is some fun-sounding 70s style punk rock. You got some good taste.

I don't know if any of you care for this sort of thing, but I dare you to listen to Caitlin Rose without smiling:

And while we're at it, the whole Sons of Anarchy soundtrack is pretty fucking great:

And to wrap things up, here's the only song I've ever enjoyed that featured either Tegan and/or Sara:

Yeah did it not come out yet?
As far as I'm concerned, that's the true version of A Better Place, A Better Time.
IN OTHER NEWS, SPEAKING OF TOH KAY
And a 10 second clip of the Streetlight version, for contrast
I don't think I've ever done that before
Fall Out Boy's new album is totally solid dance-pop

Awesome! Glad you liked Screaming Females.
On a related note, they recorded a song with Garbage for a Record Store Day 10" release.
Oh, and it's a cover of the Patti Smith/Bruce Springsteen song, "Because the Night." So yeah, it's kind of holy shit fucking incredible.
