WHAT IS SHIFTS?
Shifts is a turn-based strategy game set in a desolate universe. You play the Captain of a ship fleeing a dying Earth. Lost in space with the last five humans in the entire universe, it’s up to you to guide them through the stars. Find habitable planets and colonize them with creation engines before your nanovirus-infected Arkship self-destructs. With strategy and luck you'll find a new home for humanity.

Chances are, space will get you killed. Make smart tactical decisions and you just might save the human race. Play recklessly and humanity dies with you.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT CRAZINESS
Your ship's artificial intelligence just might go insane. The thruster reactors leak and the hull is cracking from the stress of intergalactic flight. Your robots need constant maintenance, and pesky nanobots are trying to corrupt the creation engines and break the ship apart. Manage your resources carefully or there's no tomorrow.
SYMBIOTIC CREW = SUPER POWERS
Every member of your crew has been engineered to give the arkship a special power. Activate those powers by connecting crew to the ship's artificial intelligence (interfacing).
YOU'RE ON SHIFT!
Assign non-interfaced crew to shifts. Every crew member is armed with a different speciality to deal with the arkship's growing list of problems. Decide who's on shift and when to keep the arkship from falling apart. But be warned, your symbiotic crew members will grow fatigued if you keep them from interfacing with the artificial intelligence for too long.
RANDOM MAP GOODNESS
Look, space is a very big place. There's no reason to play (or die) in the same place twice.

* Even though I only played a short while, I feel oddly compelled to keep playing. BUT, I have no idea what I'm doing. What's my goal? What am I trying to achieve on a level?
* There is a lot of UI in general and especially the starting screens are very busy. I have no idea what information to read in what order.
* I think you need some sort of onboarding process, but I imagine doing a full tutorial would be overkill. My suggestion is to do what Hack, Slash Loot did and link to a youTube video in the app. Then make a video of the developer teaching someone how to play the game. An almost 0 programming tutorial.
* You may want to consider changing the name for better discoverability. If I search Shift on the app store, lots of games come up including Need for Speed Shift and the Shift series from Armor Games among other. With the current name you may have a bit of an organic search issue.
Thanks again for the code and best of luck with the game.

So, I played several games on Normal difficulty. Overall, it's quite fun! I won most of them, but a lot were really close near the end. The games being only 5-10 minutes long is also nice. I don't think all the characters are evenly useful, and there's maybe a bit too much luck involved on just what a planet has to offer, but it was an enjoyable experience. I'll continue playing for a bit.
My biggest concern for you is that it seems like there may not be enough depth to keep people playing for a long period of time. Even after just like 5 games, I feel like I know about everything there is to expect from the game, and it's quickly going to become just how lucky I get in any given playthrough. I can see myself playing this a few more games, really enjoying myself, and then deleting it from my iPad without really ever looking back.

So far for co-op we have:
Two ships
Sharing supplies
Colonize 8 planets
For the versus mode we have the ability to play three crisis cards on your opponent. This lets you choose which problems your opponent has to deal with next turn. First to complete the game or blow up their opponent wins the game.
