For those of you who frequent the conceptart.org forums this should be pretty familiar; tens of artistic combatants thrown together in to an artistic arena, each struggling for the honor of being dubbed a master of the visual arts. Those of you who succeed will be bathed in glory and the blood of their competitors, those of you who fail will be exiled to a life of shame and isolation.
The aim of this thread is to try and spice things up a bit here in the ol' Artist's Corner. This thread is for entries in to the challenge or the discussion thereof. If you'd like to suggest a topic for the weekly challenge, go right ahead, but understand that the last winner of the challenge has total control over the task (unless they have won more than two challenges in a row, see rules).
The rules are simple;
RULES:
* A contestant cannot win more than two challenges in a row.
* Winner gets the privilege of choosing the next challenge.
* Winner also gets the honor of picking the winner of the next challenge.
* At the end of a challenge, the thread is locked and a new one is begun.
* Stick to the challenge topic; no going off on a tangent.
* All formats welcome, whether they be traditional or digital; 2D or 3D; still or animated.
If you're looking for inspiration, check out the aforementioned conceptart.org forums (specifically the creature/environment/character of the week sections).

come to think of it, I haven't really done anything since then... except go to work :C
The rest is really well executed, though. It reads as very urgent and hurried.
Also it's kind of disturbing.
I think it is because she is very round and very pink. The eyes are also a little "off" - - if you look at a crying child's face, their eyes are usually scrunched up and squinty with tears.
I love the story with this and the way it unfurls. Definitely not what I expected when I started reading, which is awesome.

Was fun! I actually started out with the idea of a modern hunter with a shotgun, and he was going to say, "An animal" but that didn't work as well as a monster. Then I thought why would he be hunting a monster with a shotgun, so I figured I'd make it a bow and arrow and give it a sort of renaissance/fantasy look (Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones-ish) to better fit both the bow and arrow and monster line. Plus, committing suicide with bow and arrow is pretty funny. So that script is 100% how I had it days before. But after he posted his, my comic took on a double meaning (and the tone became a little more serious?) so I just sort of riffed my characters off of his.
Oh my god you've made my day.
I'll put up a new thread in a minute.
