I think if I joined the army i'd want to go straight into the SAS or SBS, not fuck around in the infantry or officer core or anything like that in the normal army. But that doesn't happen very ofte... ever.

I just realised something. I was looking at my schedule for the Fall term, and I'll be teaching a class on Halloween night. I am so doing that one in my Satan costume

He is supposed to be finishing the last book now, before he dies of some illness, but we'll see how that goes.) (It's fun, crap-fantasy if you're looking for something to pass the time with.)

Halloween really isn't the same in Europe as it is in America. I daresay it's one of our few real indigenous traditions that is wholly unique to North American culture. Traces of Carnivale and such thrown in as well, but I mean the whole wear a costume and celebrate spooky imagery thing never seemed at all comparable to anything I saw in Denmark.
