We do need a server, although I've found a few that are consistently busy. We had a 36 player match going last night that kicked ass. Who would have thought that the medic/technician jobs would be so fun?
Been playing this since beta1 was released.. long time Wolf:ET player, so i've been waiting for this game for about 2 years it seems.
just built a new box, so it runs pretty good for me, it's not the best looking MP game but it's definitely fun and its very deep in gameplay.
anyone using nvidia cards.. the 163.44 bioshock drivers work really good for this game in Vista. There was some issues with this game with hiccuping and stuttering but the newest drivers have made it much more smooth.
I play as Scarface in red letters, same as Wolf:ET.. if you see me out there, send a shout out!

We should set something up tonight. I've found that most teams are so disorganized, that even two people working together can run riot over the other side.
been playing this for a bit. new map is kinda meh. these objectives aren't as crazy as the ones in ET, but maybe thats because all the vehicles dilute the infantry combat.
also damnit I want a third person view for my knife while backstabbing, the ridiculously short girly arms make for proper hitting rather difficult unless buddy is standing still.

Did they release another map this week, or is it the same canyon map with the strogg defending the contaminator?

For anyone, like me, that didn't get on the beta, the demo is being released today at 10 AM Pacific / 6 PM British / 7 PM Central European. Looks like it's just the PC version right now.

I love Id and everything, I even just started playing Quakes 2 and 4 again.. (I only played quake 3 briefly, like it, but always had a terrible net connection at home). The thing is.. this does not feel like a quake game to me. I spent all day playing it. The different classes, unlockables for said classes, and vehicles are all cool... but it still feels more like battlefield than Quake.
My favourite times in BF2 was when you got a great squad together and worked together to take objectives or ended up in a pitched battle with another good squad along a road or at a chokepoint (that didn't have an actual spawnpoint near it). If this game has the same I will buy it.
