Yeah I didn't upgrade everything this time, I still have a MSI 6950 2Gig super overclocked whatever edition. I'm way CPU bound right now though, I have to imagine that will last me through into 2014.

God I want a new video card so much but won't have the cash for it anytime soon. Just want to turn everything to high and get those smooth framerates and not just spend the whole time worrying that I should turn things down because it miiiight not be running that smoothly?
Tech thread now that I have a phone that is not shit what are apps that I should get
3G Watchdog (Onavo Count is also good to keep track of data)
AirDroid (File transfers from the computer)
Authy (Authenticator)
BaconReader (Reddit)
CamScanner (use the camera to make PDF files of whatever documents)
Chrome
ConvertPad
DiskUsage (shows where all your memory is being used)
Dropbox
ES File Explorer
Evernote
Feedly (RSS feeds)
Google Calendar (I like the Google one better than my S3's)
Klyph (Facebook replacement, still a work in progress)
Nova Launcher (if you don't like HTC's Sense UI)
Pocket (save articles for reading later)
Textra (SMS replacement)
Swapps (task switcher)
QuickPic (replacement for the default Gallery app)
Zooper Widget (if you want to do custom widgets on Android)
Zedge (wallpapers, ringtones, etc)
Most if not all of those are free or have free versions.
Oh, and 3D Image Live Wallpaper is kinda cool, if you like live wallpapers.

This Windows Phone 8 is not bad. Not bad at all. I'm getting no less than a day between recharges and everything works for me. I've only added a few apps like Netflix, StatGnome for my yahoo fantasy football, Nokias turn by turn nav app, and a battery status thingamajig. I don't seem to have a real pressing need for anything other than HBOGO. Recommendations are always nice. I do have problems with the way the browser works sometimes, but I think that's because I can be a sausage fingered idiot.
Apple might be running a phone-buyback program for iPhone 4/4Ss. $200 probably isn't the best price you could get for the phone, but after a cursory glance through ebay it looks like my 32gb 4 only goes up to around $250. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this as a possibility.

So in exciting news, Ballmer is leaving MS within a year. Their stock has jumped around 6% since the announcement.
Dude's been there too long, so that is good news. They need someone in there who can synergise all their disparate paradigms.
