So is Chris Sims ever going to resume his comic book movie reviews or what
When Comics Alliance was shut down Chris and Matt started doing Movie Fighters. I don't think they're going to review movies together on CA anymore.
Which is disappointing in a lot of ways. They seem to be skewing towards "Watch only bad movies and complain about them" and the internet has plenty of those guys.
what is the deal with IP man? There was a trailer for the new one I guess that was like THE TRUE STORY OF IP MAN and one of the first scenes is him like kicking a car over
There are apparently three film versions of the dude currently in existence, and this is not counting lots of past portrayals

Wait until you see how many movies they've made about Wong Fei Hung.

When you look at the real Ip Man's photo on Wikipedia, he somehow doesn't look like a guy who would repeatedly hammer his fist into some Japanese dude's forehead until he's presumably dead
He actually has hypnotic charm eyes, they're just literally never brought up.
Gambit is the worst
No he is the best.
Like near the beginning of his new ongoing when he went from a mansion heist to fighting inter dimensional space dragons to sassing the queen of England in like seven issues.

The new "Martin Scorsese and Samual L. Jackson Present: The Grand Master" is absolutely not being billed as "the true story of Ip Man".
The trailers I've seen specifically say "inspired by the true story of the man who trained Bruce Lee".

I'm pretty sure there are two different, competing, multi-movie franchises about him at the moment

Everyone thinks that. It's like saying "I prefer not to be eaten by roaches" or "Pacific Rim is a fine cinematic experience."
Why I fear the ocean.

Gambit is the worst
unsurprising, given his chronic skepticism regarding the human condition

He's just very ridiculous, you know?
I feel l like I disagree with 90% of the game/film opinions posted on the front page lately

I feel like 90 minutes might not be enough time to really tell that story properly.
But the costuming looks pretty righteous.
I think it's meant to be the begin of a series, not a stand-alone, so they won't have to tell the whole story

Oh, lawd, they're gonna do monkey king matinee serials?
I would die.
