i bought ingredients to make overnight oatmeal/parfaits as part of a general plan to start saving money. it was about 3x the price of my usual breakfast routine, but seeing as how i haven't bought that stuff in like 2 months i'm willing to start afresh

Self care is realizing that the old coot I have for a neighbor is in fact unreasonable after coming home to a police complaint for noise despite the fact that my dogs have been inside for the past two months. And also finding out that apparently there's a pet license program, which is surprising since I've lived in this county for the past decade and have never heard about it until now. And probably would never have had a problem with if it wasn't for this.
Self care is also deciding to move sooner rather than later because waiting for him to have a heart attack and go away is both mean and time consuming.
I got some completely unnecessary parts for my PC so I have an excuse to tinker around with it. It's probably the equivalent of someone who has a workshop in the garage or something.
I cleaned my sink, which was an Herculean task requiring the disposal of some of the livelier dishes. I never have food in my sink, just dishes.. but it had been left for a while.
Anyway. I'm proud of myself. It's weird how the housework fluctuates with my self-esteem. Now to work on my own stuff for an hour or so...
For self-care I made coffee at almost 8pm, and am going to play some video games. I can't decide if I want to play Crusader Kings 2 and continue my russification of northern europe, or creating the perfect soviet-themed dystopia in Tropico. Decisions decisions...
