Move to Admiral's Quarters and Activate it, targeting Hoshi. Discard 1-Launch Scout to travel between ships.
Mr. Hoshi, you're unauthorized entry into the restricted engineering lab section is grounds for court martial and summary execution. Admittedly, on my ship, virtually everything is grounds for summary execution.
3 Cards.
I put in "a lot", but I encourage support to overcome destiny/opposition. If the check passes by 10 or more, I will use my special ability.
Movement Step: Professor Phobos discards Tactics 1 - Launch Scout to move to the Admiral's Quarters. Action Step: Activate the Admiral's Quarters, targeting Louis Hoshi (Kirindal).
[7] Leadership + Tactics
Pass: Louis Hoshi (Kirindal) is sent to the "Brig".
Fail: No effect.
OK, so what's the consensus here? Right now I'm assuming the check will fail without highly positive Destiny. Do we want to:
1) Toss in a fair amount (probably 6+) to cement it and find out whether Hoshi's a Cylon
2) Save the cards and let it (probably) fail?
At this point I figure #1 is the best option but I am really not interested in throwing a half dozen cards in if one of the rest of you (Romo, Baltar, Kat) wants to spike it and we have to balance that as well.
As for you, Hoshi... are you trying to get yourself executed? I would have expected... at least an attempt at explaining why you are not, in fact, a Cylon.
I am generally opposed to wasting cards trying to brig someone with a fair amount of cards in hand. Chances are he put -4 or 5 in, because whether he's human or cylon he doesn't want to be in the brig, and he doesn't want to get executed either. Assuming that cain put 6-8 in, we should be at somewhere between 1-4, allowing for negative destiny we probably need about 10 additional strength.
And since we know Hoshi probably put 2xeng in there, if he has establish network and a strong card that could easily put the total very negative
Well unless he got Build Nuke it can't be that negative, unless Blarney forgot to shuffle the cards. >.>
I'm assuming it's slightly positive now. If three of us put in a medium card (on average) each we can spread the cost a fair bit and leave us some leeway to get to 10, or 7 if Destiny is really bad (or Hoshi is that lucky). At least Cain is the current player so weird skill check cards shouldn't be too big a problem.
Well, it looks like we had a tac 5 from the DD out already, so there's 3/10 positive at best (maybe 2 depending on the second card). What do you think @blahmcblah@grunt's ghosts
I can see the tune of the lynch mob, there's nothing else I can say that would persuade any of you that I am not a Cylon. Especially with how itchy Admiral Airlock over there's thumbing the control.
As the total is over 10, Professor Phobos elects to use Helena Cain's general ability, causing Louis Hoshi (Kirindal) to be executed.
Kirindal reveals his Loyalty Card: it is a You are Not a Cylon card. -1 Morale, Kirindal discards all skill cards (Tactics 4 - Critical Situation, Tactics 4 - Unorthodox Plan, and Engineering 2 - Jury Rigged).
Kirindal, select a new character to play. After that, you will receive a new Loyalty Card and we will move on to the Crisis Step.
From phone (to get connection for which is a half-hour drive): what what the the (%&^# %$#(&^? I'm with blah re: sketchyness & vague evasion + indignations for defence. It's traitors game. Either passable human or space popsicle.
Plus, if I got my math right, Kirindal just played a Leadership to help himself get brigged/executed. As a human... wwttff.
Kirindal selects Sherman "Doc" Cottle as a replacement character. A "You are not a Cylon" card is added to the Loyalty deck; the deck is shuffled and Kirindal draws one card.
Helena Cain decides to take decisive action, ordering the execution of Louis Hoshi. This demonstration of power brings people in line, but disheartens the fleet's crew. Shortly after, the Admiral is approached by the engineering team - the fleet is becoming ready to jump and they need her input on the choice of destination.

Current Player Helena Cain (Professor Phobos) must choose:
A) Skill Check [15] Tactics + Piloting + Engineering
Pass: No effect.
Fail: The current player is sent to "Sickbay" and destroy 1 Raptor. OR Roll a die. If 5 or less, -1 Fuel.
After Crisis: Activate Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation

I'd only choose B if someone has a StratPlan. If we go with A, I'd vote for tanking it since it'll be tough to pass and the consequences aren't that dire.
I think B is a sounder option to be chosen, fuel is more replaceable than a Raptor if the die goes south.

I heartily disagree. There are now two skill cards (Raptor Specialist?) that repair destroyed raptors, only one (Scout for Fuel) that has a chance of giving us another fuel. Other than that one card and Baltar's miracle ability, we'd have to rely on finding Tylium Planets or some such.
The first execution didn't take, maybe the second one will be the charm?
Everything went better than expected. I'm back in civilized society. @MrBlarney withdraw conditional orders, since not necessary.
Choice A and tank it. Raptors are there to be spent, and if they're spent getting (edit: or preserving) fuel, all the better; especially since losing all raptors doesn't lose the game, whereas fuel... Also - plenty of time to XO Cain out of sickbay.
Absolutely not worth it to risk the fuel. Fuel is like, life. I think at least half the games I've seen humans lose was due to fuel. I'll go to sickbay. Option A. 0 Cards Honestly, it's not even worth it to use any cards.
Sickened by her decision to execute poor, loyal Hoshi, Admiral Cain checks herself in to the Galactica's psychological services clinic. Meanwhile, her unruly dog Spot poops all over a raptor.
Check Total: 3 - 0 = 3, Fail. 1 Raptor destroyed, Professor Phobos is sent to Sickbay. Dradis Contact places two Raiders at the Fore (9 o'clock) of Galactica.
Exhausted with jump preparations and the weight of her role in Louis Hoshi's death, Admiral Cain is taken in for brief medical care. Meanwhile, engineering crews are puzzled over the sudden failure of the scouting raptor after its return. Something about a dog...?
After Crisis: Fore (9 o'clock) Raiders advance to Starboard-bow (11 o'clock); Starboard-quarter (1 o'clock) Raiders advance to Aft (3 o'clock). Jump Preparation advances to Level 6 - fleet automatically jumps. Professor Phobos draws the top two cards from the Destination Deck and will select one to play.

Demetrius can dispense Engineering like candy. It's actually better than a dedicated repair class.

We already took too many morale hits, so I will pass on the option to turn 1 Morale into 1 Fuel.
