Does anyone else have the updates page, twitter, the forums, FB(in case my pin pal sees it first and msg's me) AND the store open refreshing them all? haha. I feel as if they could be laughing at us if they are reading the forums at all. haha.
Kinda sucks, but I'm not surprised, especially after seeing the art prints go on sale today. No need to release all the merch at once, a drip feed is probably more effective.
I'm an Aussie enthusiast looking for a way to display my collection. So, my question those of you who are using corkboards (or similar) to display your pins: are you using thin enough boards you can keep the black rubber backs on the pins, or are you storing the backs somewhere separately? If it's the first one, how thick is the board you're using? Thanks!
@Kamelon - I'm using cork boards to display mine, they're called canvas style boards I think (I painted mine with black sparkles for extra snazz), they're thick enough to cover the whole pin part, and I just store my backs in a little baggie. This way I always have spare backs when trekking in the wilds for trading - the darn things always fall off >_< - as the displayed ones wont need backs for the foreseeable future.
Looks like someone from Australia (if you're on here, kudos to you!) also asked him about possible preorders for pins, since timezones and such. Ben said:

Aussie Ben is indeed on here(the one who ask the preorder question). Keep in mind he said Future limited editions and such so that probably won'y apply to Hanna.

As for preorders, I think it'd be kind of bad. I get the timezone difference, but for limited pins, it'd be tough.
What they could do is, with limited pins, say there's 10,000 pins available, you can sell around half at one time, and then half when other coasters/countries are waking up.
Honestly these are all the same problems that they have when it comes to selling PAX tickets. They'll try to do the best they can and we just have to check it obsessively :P
That being said: I have a rather... flexible working environment that lets me check more obsessively then others might. For those of you who don't use twitter as much I'd be happy to do a group text to people's cells when I see it go up. I use an app called groupme that lets you text people en mass. PM me if you'd like your cell added to the list. I'd be really sad if someone missed out cause they couldn't check the store page/don't use twitter that much (I assume pinpals twitter will tweet when the pin goes up for sale?)

No I think that's good planning, the rarity gap between limited and standard pins is quite significant and I think the limited pin scene will have quite a different dynamic.

So with the news that there are no official shadow boxes coming, I figured I should look into how I want to display the Pins as I go.
I just ordered the prints of The Tithe, because awesome. And that got me thinking, why not surround the Sets with the comics?
So I have the Lookouts comics, the Daughters comics, some Twisp and Catsbycomics and I figured that I could grab some of my favourite strips for the other stuff.
PS3 user, all for it. We might want to wait a bit, though, who knows how long it will be before we can reliably play online. I suspect that the system will be bogged down for at least a good week.
