Or XO Romo and farm Quorum a bit. We don't have enough people to fill all the spots, I think.

Move to Main Batteries. Fire 'em at the Raiders.

No SP. I don't think we want to use one anyways since it's 50/50 on success vs. no effect.

  • KaneskiKaneski Registered User regular
No SP, but I do think it's worth using one. Means almost certainly don't need to worry about civs for 3 crisis'. Also, main battery is best counter to tge raider spam Phyphor is planning on continuing.

Professor Phobos, since you're moving across ships, you'll need to discard a card from your hand to make your movement. I'll pause for Strategic Planning plays from all human players just in case someone wants to aid the roll.

I'm leaning towards SP being saved for something more dire, like FTL or a crisis roll.

I'll discard Tactics 1 - Launch Scout, since I have a million of the fucking things.

normally... Yeah ok... But our 2 jailbirds have so few opportunities to play cards... And they draw tactics.

Omg... on Cain's next turn... State of Emergency + XO to draw cards from Demetrius and get the last person in State of Emergency round to draw mission from Demetrius... *drool* I'm... actually tempted to let Adama be that last person. If I can XO him on my turn - he can Scout for Fuel, then Brig check - letting him contribute more than 1 card. By this point, his XO + Scout for fuel has done more good than his cylon-ness can do bad.

blahmcblah and Grunt's Ghosts remain to play or pass on Strategic Planning plays.

Turn 20: Helena Cain (Professor Phobos)

Movement Step: Professor Phobos discards Tactics 1 - Launch Scout to move to Main Batteries.
Action Step: Main Batteries are activated, targeting the Starboard-Bow (11 o'clock) area. Cutfang has conditional orders to play Tactics 3 - Strategic Planning. 3 + 2 = 5, 2 Raiders destroyed.

Admiral Cain takes command once again aboard Pegasus, ordering the battlestar's weapons to open fire against Cylon invaders. The press follows her to Pegasus, requesting answers regarding recent events aboard the fleet.

    Crisis Step: Admiral Grilled

Current Player Helena Cain (Professor Phobos) must choose:
    A) Skill Check [9] Politics + Leadership
    Pass: No Effect.
Fail: -1 morale, and the Admiral discards 2 Skill Cards.
    OR
    B) -1 morale.

After Crisis: Activate Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation

Geth roll 1d8 for Main Batteries

    Main Batteries:
    1d8 3 [1d8=3]

    Woo Doc! Yeah!

That one's for everyone except me. Should be a breeze to pass.

Probably not a bad one for an Investigative Committee, but I don't have one, sadly.

  • Professor PhobosProfessor Phobos Registered User regular
We'll do the check, of course. Option A.

Professor Phobos elects to go for the skill check, option A.

So... Investigative Committee, anyone? Would be good to not overshoot this easy crisis by too much. Also for, you know, post-sleeper reasons.

  • MrBlarneyMrBlarney Registered User regular
Pausing check submissions for pre-check interrupts by request from blahmcblah. All human players, will you play any cards to modify the skill check?

    Nope.

With only two positive colours and given the last check, Destiny is probably double negative. Are we enforcing turn order for this one?

  • MrBlarneyMrBlarney Registered User regular
I can enforce turn order if requested, and so it shall be done. First, I need to wait to hear if anyone else has an interrupt to play.

I can't help with anything unless you guys are cool with me dropping the SoE for this. But I'd rather hold on to it?

  • blahmcblahblahmcblah You pick your side and you stick - you don't cut and run when things get ugly. Registered User regular
    Probably hang on to it.

    0 Cards.

On the bright side, I can launch scouts until the end of time.

I'm guessing this one will come down to Kat/Adama to pass.

Ok, the extra breakage was the 2 cards Phobos has to drop... at this point I'd say save your cards, unless Romo has 2-3 x 4-5-value cards :/

This check just now, and only now, made me realise how poor we are on politics/leadership. But we're mega-rich on tactics.

I see that the request to play contributions in player order has been ignored. blahmcblah, Phyphor, and Tenek remain to make contribution declarations, then.

Cutfang plays Politics 3 - Investigative Committee; all player contributions must be made face up.

    Skill Check Contributions
    Destiny Deck - 2 cards
    D'Anna Biers (Kaneski) - 0 cards (max. 2 cards)
Sherman "Doc" Cottle (Cutfang) - 0 cards
    Romo Lampkin (blahmcblah) -
Gaius Baltar, Daybreak ver. (Phyphor) - (max. 1 card)
Louanne "Kat" Katraine (Grunt's Ghosts) - 0 cards (max. 1 card)
Lee Adama, Daybreak ver. (Tenek) - (max. 1 card)
Helena Cain (Professor Phobos) - 0 cards

Pretty lame, guys. Like, no one has leadership?

  • blahmcblahblahmcblah You pick your side and you stick - you don't cut and run when things get ugly. Registered User regular
    Contribute

    Politics 1 - Consolidate Power
    Politics 2 - Consolidate Power
    Politics 5 - Negotiation
    Politics 6 - Political Prowess

I've given up more to save a morale

  • blahmcblahblahmcblah You pick your side and you stick - you don't cut and run when things get ugly. Registered User regular
I figure as awesome as Political Prowess is, it's not nearly as important with a Cylon likely in the brig and the presidency where it belongs. If you want something done right...

  • TenekTenek Registered User regular
Well if we're at 14 already, Destiny can be up to -5 (-7 with a DE) and we're OK.

I will, however, wait for Toastercakes in case of bad card.
