The forums should be running a bit faster now. I have a couple of SQL things to redo, but for the most part the new change I put in should allow people to search and post at the same time.

    I tried fixing it and things slowed down a lot 
    Page generation time: 59.1234s (PHP: 1% - SQL: 99%) - SQL queries: 13 - GZIP enabled - Debug off
    Vs. 
    Page generation time: 0.5546s (PHP: 61% - SQL: 39%) - SQL queries: 11 - GZIP enabled - Debug off
    Ill work on fixing the speed hack to make it accept topic ids

    All searching errors should be fixed and speeds should have increased even more. :P

    Yes. I am actually in the proccess of cleaning up the code a bit and releasing it along with some of the mods I have used on this board.

    I cant repeat that Shieux. Could you take a screen shot of what you searched for and what you got? It should be noted there is a delay, a short one, but a delay before a post will appear in the search.

    I just go into my, or anyone's profile, and click "find all posts by ..." and all that shows up is one post from a long time ago, even if I know there are others.

    I don't think a screen would show anything, but I can get one.

    Okay, this was taken just a second ago, after searching for all posts by me, from the profile. But the search command gets the same result. I get the same result for everybody, a single, old post.

    Well I opened my profile like Shieux said, and clicked 'find all posts' and my browser timed out around the 3 minute mark. After trying it a few more times on different users, that's what happens each time

    Edit: Maybe it's just my brozer (Mozilla 1.6) but I load a thread, click the link back to the forum the thread was in, and the thread is still marked unread.

    Yeah...the search is being slow. And when I try to load it, and then back out, it goes "Fuck no" and doesnt load the site for a minute or so...

    I get the same, both with steven's profile and my own.

    If they're working for you, you wan't to look out for the permissions checks, they're probably not applied because you're the admin.

    Og, Im slipping that was outside the bracket. Sorry there is a if ( IS_ALPHA ) { . . . } thing in page_tail.php and I put the display_log() outside that.

    Im thinking its permissions too, but it doesn't make sense. Im disabling search for the time being. At worst it will be down for a day or so. At best it will be down for an hour.
