If we do have the repair card it's our only shot at jumping before Baltar's turn.

  • blahmcblahblahmcblah You pick your side and you stick - you don't cut and run when things get ugly. Registered User regular
Is it worth digging for the one quorum card we need? If waiting to jump is an option, Doc can just pass me a Repair (and something else useful - Critical Situation?) and I guess Cain can jump us after I repair FTL (assuming we haven't already jumped).

  • TenekTenek Registered User regular
Probably not, I suppose... I'm just saying it's the only way to jump before the next Cylon turn. Might as well nuke, then.

Actually, I suppose two jump prep crises would also work, but it's a little unreliable + two more ship activations in the meantime.

If it's just one quorum card that repairs I doubt we'll get that lucky. I think passing a repair to our glorious leader may be the way to go.

Or just nuke the ships, I like this idea too.

Move to Command, discarding Treachery 3 - Personal Vices.

Action - Play Leadership 1 - Executive Order on @Professor%20Phobos

    None here. :(

I'll wait for @Grunt's Ghosts confirmation on whether or not Strategic Planning will be played before going ahead with the roll.

No Strategic Planning played. The nuke destroys the Starboard-Quarter (1 o'clock) basestar. Professor Phobos, you have a second action.

    Geth roll 1d8 for Nuke

    1d8 6 [1d8=6]

7 would also destroy 3 raiders, correct?

    No Calculations

Cutfang couldn't use it even if he had it

  • TenekTenek Registered User regular
    It's not an Action.

I'm going to Make a Deal with Tenek to spring him from the brig. I move him to "Command."

  • MrBlarneyMrBlarney Registered User regular
    Make a Deal

Action: Choose a character in the "Brig" and move him to any location on Galactica. Then, discard this card and choose a player to draw a Mutiny Card.
You cannot play this card if there are no characters in the "Brig."

You must still choose someone to draw a Mutiny Card, Professor Phobos. Who will take the card?

Cottle and Kat are the safe choices, I think.

  • Professor PhobosProfessor Phobos Registered User regular
Hmm, didn't notice that part of the card. I guess Cottle.

  • TenekTenek Registered User regular
OK, now we just need Network Computers.

Turn 29: Samuel "Doc" Cottle (Cutfang)

Movement Step: Cutfang discards Treachery 3 - Personal Vices to move to Command.
Action Step: Play Leadership 1 - Executive Order, targeting Professor Phobos. For his first action, Professor Phobos fires a nuke at the Starboard-Quarter (1 o'clock), destroying a basestar. For his second action, Mutiny Card "Make a Deal" is played, moving Lee Adama (Tenek) from the Brig to Command and requiring Cutfang to draw a Mutiny Card.

As Doc Cottle takes an emergency raptor back to Galactica, Helena Cain is busy taking action. One of the besieging basestars is taken out with a nuke, and a deal is struck to free Lee Adama from the brig. The Cylon forces are closing in... does humanity have the spirit to survive?

    Crisis Step: In the Ring

Skill Check [12] Politics + Leadership + Tactics
    Pass: +1 morale
Fail: -1 morale and the current player is sent to "Sickbay".
Consequence: The current player chooses another player to send to "Sickbay".

After Crisis: Activate Heavy Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation

    Skill Check Contributions
    Destiny Deck - 2 cards
    Romo Lampkin (blahmcblah) -
Gaius Baltar, Daybreak ver. (Phyphor) - (max. 1 card)
Louanne "Kat" Katraine (Grunt's Ghosts) - (max. 1 card)
Lee Adama, Daybreak ver. (Tenek) -
    Helena Cain (Professor Phobos) -
    D'Anna Biers (Kaneski) - (max. 1 card)
    Sherman "Doc" Cottle (Cutfang) -

    Hahaha, the boxing episode crisis.

  • MrBlarneyMrBlarney Registered User regular
Yeah, I couldn't figure out how to make the original context work, so now you're 'boxing' with Cylon ships.

Unless he's institutionalised, I believe Lee can throw additional cards in now.

    Dancing Bagel
  • KaneskiKaneski Registered User regular
Aye, he can. Please do, because Morale is totally your problem!

  • Grunt's GhostsGrunt's Ghosts Registered User regular
    1 card

  • TenekTenek Registered User regular
So... can we /should we/ do we want to bother with the +morale? I'm inclined to yes / probably / not sure.

Well if we pass this one we can happily fail future ones, since -morale pops up so often. That or we just fail this and save cards for something fleet threatening. My hand is somewhat ass though.

Honestly, I'm still thinking we should stock up to pass Kaneski's super-crisis. He has two of them left; chances are he's saving something nasty.

    8->

    Edit: Also, 1 card

  • TenekTenek Registered User regular
Maybe, but we've got four draws in between now and then.

  • TenekTenek Registered User regular
I'm assuming we're already going to have one person in Sickbay from this, two might be annoying. If we can trash one morale I've still got that other card.

I guess I'm OK with failing it but we're going to have to take the morale crises seriously (and Bomb on C1 gets reallly painful).

  • Professor PhobosProfessor Phobos Registered User regular
    Lets go for it.

  • TenekTenek Registered User regular
    All right, 2 medium cards

  • CutfangCutfang Dancing Bagel WalessssssssRegistered User regular
3 cards for a small amount

I feel like that crisis got a lot nastier with the new Treachery cards.
