this might seem counterintuitive, but i suggest some tailored menswear-inspired fitted buttonups because your hair and skintone can contrast nicely with them; i think that plaid shirt, tucked in, is a good look, and you should repeat that silhouette with a pencil skirt. think sexy librarian or secretary. to bump up the traditionally sexy quotient, try out some sheath dresses, but i find that separates are a little easier to test being fashiony, along with being more versatile.
here's a site i found for tall ladies, with a list of stores. i've also seen suggestions (not on the list) for 6pm.com, Nine West, Top Shop.
your weight isn't really going to affect sizing -- what we need are your measurements. chest, waist, hips, butt, torso length, and inseam are going to be more useful in suggesting stuff that might fit and flatter you, but also... what style are you looking for? i think you'd look very fine in tailored menswear-inspired fitted buttonups, but what's going to make you feel good and comfortable enough to try actually wearing it? are you wanting poofy skirts; long, slinky gowns?
here's a dress that's got the stripes and color you've been showing us, but with the appearance of separates that i think would be flattering; it's also an easy silhouette that looks comfortable and fairly modest for hitting at mid-thigh.
anyway, that's just to give you something to chew on.
i just finished it again, so
i love Journey (the game)
so much
gonna figure up a tattoo, kochi. gonna figure up a tattoo. going on a to-do list.
also, i was tempted by this dark, pretty blurple kameez/kurti with gold embroidery, but where would i wear it other than Racist Halloween? so soft, so pretty, but it sorely needs repairs, too.
pooka on
+1

Hi guys.
Well little HyperBallad has industry placement next week, and needs a corporate wardrobe. So, with the help of Target (skirt and shoes) and a cheapy little discount shop, (ass. shirts) I'm nearly ready for the library world. Pearl necklace (@chrishallett83 and others, nice try, not that type!) is a stereotype I'll devolve into at some point, not just yet.
So if you ignore the shiteous mobile phone quality pictures, and the abominably messy room behind me, I have photos.
How may I serve you today/Sexy librarian
First shirt detail.
Yellow one- this one looks better when I wear my black pants which I've currently misplaced.
any ideas with regard to more feminine wear? i prefer something that shows more collar bone and less dude shoulder-y apparel
what are your thoughts re: thick-strap tank tops?
I have very big shoulders for my frame and I find these tend to take attention away while showing off busty collar bone-ess
alternately: halter tops, but I think I got lucky in that regard; these draw some attention to the size of your shoulders but can actually be flattering because by contrast it makes your waist look a lot slimmer

also @Calamity Jane for your three requests these would be my suggestions (given that I know literally nothing about your style or taste or preferences):
1. Dress - a dress with an a-line skirt may suit you really well, with a halter neck maybe for the warmer months; VS does some of these that I've ordered online and have been great.
2. Casual Wear - tops or bottoms? because with tops, you can't miss with a variety of tank tops in different colors, either ones that you can layer or wear with a cute cardigan.
3. Sexy Stuff - this one I have a hard time answering because there are so many options and types and styles out there to choose from. Not to mention different definitions of sexy. Are you just talking underwear or also lingerie?
i got dope panties covered. lingerie and or fetish gear. if you need a uh, better idea of taste but still want to post your determination in the thread i have some stuff i can share in private

currently 60 bucks at The Gap, but i'm just testing the waters, here.
there's this one, currently less than 25 from Alloy:

I am trying to start a new thing where photos of socks need cats in them.
I tried to call it a bitspic as a successor to the wamshot but that racist pip said I shouldn't.

yeah everything I've picked out have gotten great reviews - I haven't bought anything yet but probably will next week

What in the fuck are you talking about?
Catsby
That's where my hair congregated, and those areas look like a cutting board without makeup on
I find a lovely color selection of tanktops has helped me out in this regard
plus I have freckly shoulders that just beg to be shown off
Twitch (I stream most days of the week)
Twitter (mean leftist discourse)

Kinda like this: http://www.vonvonni.com/von-vonni-scoop-neck-t-shirt-heather-gray-3.html ?
1. Dress - a dress with an a-line skirt may suit you really well, with a halter neck maybe for the warmer months; VS does some of these that I've ordered online and have been great.
http://www.victoriassecret.com/clothing/dresses/double-strap-bra-top-dress?ProductID=115202&CatalogueType=OLS - pretty much the kind of dress I was talking about
http://www.victoriassecret.com/clothing/new-arrivals/zigzag-sweaterdress-a-kiss-of-cashmere?ProductID=145895&CatalogueType=OLS - bit of a fit and flare but I reckon you'd be able to pull that off a treat
http://www.victoriassecret.com/clothing/sale-on-dresses/flutter-sleeve-dress?ProductID=110530&CatalogueType=OLS - big sleeves may help take attention away from your shoulders
2. Casual Wear - tops or bottoms? because with tops, you can't miss with a variety of tank tops in different colors, either ones that you can layer or wear with a cute cardigan.
pretty much everything on this page: http://www.victoriassecret.com/clothing/sale-on-tops-and-tees but especially this:

i like graphic t-shirts, trashy contrastin against great casual/business wear
a mainly blue and green and citrus color swatch
WILLPOWER VIV
COME ON YOU CAN DO IT
THINK OF THE COUCH
THINK OF THE NEW COOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUCH AND HOW AMAZING IT WILL BE
ah ok I thought that was more around what you looked like in what you've got
Teefury actually make well-shaped t-shirts for ladies; they're comfy but show off the figure quite well
blue/green/citrus is easy to find these days - VS will have heaps that meet this criteria
it could be an idea to get a graphic tank top and pair it with a feminine cardigan
hang on I have an idea lemme get back to you
which in and of itself isn't BAD, but it may not give you that very feminine look you're chasing
that said you're slim enough to pull most of that stuff off
would you be down with a look like this?
rip
then an ed hardy shirt
then a silk dbz shirt
