because you're dismissing low-gameplay, high story games outright when you were previously very excited about a game that was always going to be one of those
the story ending up being weak was just david cage's fault, not the design itself's

I don't really even think gone home is a low gameplay game. It just isn't mechanics heavy. But it is super fascinating and interesting to explore that house. I call that good gameplay.

Is he not allowed to take it back
he is, but the oh snap factor remains undiminished
I'm really liking Beyond. It's less guided then I thought too, I watched the QL and stuff in the training went differently for me a few times.
Also since we started talking GotY, right now I think mine is Bioshock Infinite. Though that might be because I'm still basking in the sweaty afterglow of actually being able to beat the game. I just think it's great fun to play, especially if you mix up the vigors rather than relying on shooting. It might have been ham-fisted in places, but I think it had enough really good story moments to justify the average ones. And it had an ending that is actually worth beating the game for. I don't see many other games interesting enough to warrant a 2 hour GB stream just about their ending.
At the last fight of Wind Waker which is still so goddamn rad
If they don't put Wind Waker Ganondorf in Smash Bros what are they even doing
It might be my favorite boss fight of the aughts
The fight's not even especially challenging or fun in and of itself
But the new Ganondorf is so well-designed and the combat arena is just so cool to look at, and the lighting on all the hits makes it feel like something huge is happening
And then out of nowhere the most brutal thing that's happened in any Zelda happens in the one that was maligned for being "kiddy"

You should...
I've had a lot of problems with it but I'm anxious to see how things end.

Sweet! A quiz.
It'll be later tonight. If it's only two hours, I may even finish it tonight.
Even is someone who totally disliked it, I feel like people should definitely try it.
It is an experience, to be certain.
Just not one I enjoyed at all.
Yeah, exactly
Ain't David Cage's fault
he is, but the oh snap factor remains undiminished

(or substitute with the Alestorm song of your choice)
I want Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends, and Pikmin 3
No idea what order to get them in
From what I've seen of each, this is probably a good enough order actually.

The trailer for 2 was set to Justice, iirc.
Some of the best trailers use music that isn't period of setting appropriate.
Like the Bartholomew trailer for Dark Souls.
