I was really happy to see Frigga get to be a real badass, and then her death and funeral were fucking powerful
The crying I mentioned was obviously during this sequence, but that big shot of her and everyone else who died in the attack being sent out and given Viking funerals had me choking up, and then at the last second when Odin strikes the spear and instead of going over the falls, Frigga's boat continues straight out into space for a bit and her spirit floats up into the stars
Oh Jesus that was where I lost it
Benicio del Toro continues to be a weirdo
and I just realized I don't really know anything about the Collector
I'm usually the guy who, after the credits scene, m friends immediately turn to me and ask what the significance was, because I am the one who knows, but now that we're getting into the cosmic stuff I'm just gonna have to shake my head and tell 'em I don't know

Yeah this I appreciated in the film
giving everyone who died in that initial attack a mass funeral that gave weight to the threat the dark elves posed, and later on with the final climactic battle being so localised, despite the fact that nine realms were on the line, yet not sacrificing the stakes of what failure to defeat Malekith meant was handled really well in my opinion. No overt disaster porn, no billions of dollars destruction that felt apocalyptic, just the same scale of battle as the Avengers.
Admittedly though I found those mini black hole grenades terrifying
People have criticized Malekith and the Elves' plan as being just evil for the sake of evil, but (minor spoilers? maybe? not plot, but stuff about the Dark Elves as a race)
you have to actually like, pay attention to what isn't explicitly spelled out, but the Elves feel that light and creation were an anomaly, an abomination that shouldn't have happened, and they want to return things to the state of chaos and darkness
it sounds evil for the sake of evil but if you realize that, to them, the universe as it exists now is just plain wrong and should not be, it feels like a lot more solid of a motivation

But if a movie doesn't spell something out for me 3 times or more I have the right to dismiss it as a "plot hole"
I'm still a little sad Eccleston didn't actually have much room to do anything with the role, and I'm SUPER sad that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje had as little screen time as he did

That's because it's so recognizable only coma patients and Rocky Mountain game trappers wouldn't be aware of what it was in the first twelve seconds.
The miniseries, parts of season 1, most of season 2, and the first half of season 3 are great
Man
So many dumb emotions going on
So much of Quentin's accent trying to have emotions
Red Dead Redemption
I wouldn't be surprised if they use Nyssa or some other Ra's kid though
the real red dead redemption starts here
Like, is that part of taking a pistol permit course in Starling City?
You know, it really should be
There's no way it was all of it, right?
Also Zachary Levi looks MAD WEIRD with blonde hair, it FREAKED ME OUT

Oh thank god I'm not the only one
I think it was the eyebrows and/or facial hair
It was just so fair
CHINESE HOOD, YOU CAN'T BE A GUARD
"THE BALACLAVA" DOESN'T SOUND NEARLY AS COOL AS "THE HOOD"
watched a lot of chuck
so the whole time I'm sitting here like "what's with his voice why's his face like that"
like, he did a good job! but it was weird
I laughed a lot!
I also openly wept at one point, so
Yeah, there were a few scenes where he sounded so Chuck-like.

I giggled and clapped like a simple child

Like, the Dark Elves are basically rocking blaster rifles and B-Wing fighters
