    I'm sorry

I know I'm broken and literally the only person who feels this way

But I just can't get over how comics/G1 transformers look

They just look like a kid wearing cardboard boxes with metal face masks

    At least Bayformers look alien

    I can understand this reasoning

but Bayformers look less alien and more junkyard scrapheap

I don't think they look great just better than the original designs

For reference, I really like the robot forms in Beast Wars and the redesigns in the High Moon games

me, if my car turned out to be a robot that turned into a human-shape with car bits, I would like to be able to point out my carbotman in a lineup by the distinguising features of my vehicle, not by what my goddamn transmission looks like when designed my M.C. Escher

But they all look nearly identical anyway

I can never tell any of the transformers in comics apart

    @Chincymcchilla
they literally use the High Moon designs in both Robots in Disguise and More Than Meets the Eye for Starscream, Skywarp, Soundwave, Shockwave, Bumblebee, Ironhide, and others, mostly in RID
and the new designs for both arent that far off

To be fair I'm only going off what I've seen posted here and I usually can't tell anyone apart

speaking of transformers designs, I'm not a huge fan of Bumblebee's new comic design

I get that it's a throwback to goldbug/goldfire/Ican'tkeepthisstraight but I do not like mouthless faceplate bumblebee

He doesn't look like bumblebee anymore

Thor was a lot of fun.

There was exactly one moment in the film where I went "Okay, maaaaaybe this is a little over the top"

but the rest of it was just great.

No, pretty much every time this movie cracked wise, I was laughing my ass off.
    The stinger was suuuper funny.

It was well executed, but it just seemed like too much.

I did get a kick out of
    confused Mjolnir.

I thought that was really well done!
it added a nice twist on the usual final fight scene

It really distinguished what otherwise would've been a pretty standard brawl and added tons of humor into the mix. And yeah, just really well executed all around. I loved it.

    I didn't hate it.

I thought maybe it was a little too played for laughs.

But all the jokes were really funny, so that helped.

I think I'm okay they got rid of the weird bowl cut style thing he had going, to be perfectly honest.

Though I don't think this is what I would have in mind for a redesign.

I'm not even sure they're aware they're doing things.

I was thinking about it earlier this week, how Marvel meetings vs DC meetings must look.

Marvel: "Okay, so we're going to revitalize the brand by rebranding a lot of our lineup with new and interesting stories made to appeal to a broad range of people."

DC: "We still have the Batman license, right? Okay, meeting over, we're good."
