So I played in 10 of 13 mains (77%), hosted one, and played in 22 of 36 minis (61%), hosted one. That's 32/49 (65%) overall; can anyone do better?

Using the list and my memory:

    Mains (Participation - 100%)
    Played - 12/14 (85%) | Hosted - 2

    Minis (Participation - 86%)
    Played - 28/36 (77%) | Hosted - 3

    Overall: Played - 40/50 (80%) | Participation - 45/50 (90%)

Most Veteran Play by a New Player - discrider, despite his annoying pestering persistence nitpicking rules ( ;) ), is amazing at reading people and finding mafia for a newbie (or a veteran for that matter) and has played better than most vets in every game he's been in.

Most Improved Player - Gizzy, as pointed out by the mafia last game, has really turned into a formidable force and has done it in such a way as to be noticed by very few.

We're just nominating, now, right? we're not voting yet? So if someone else has nominated, we don't need to? Or do we need seconds, etc?

Second Gizzy. It seems like she plays less than she used to, but it seem that when she does play she makes a difference.

edit: haha! I edited a vote post!

Has someone officially nominated Auralynx yet?

EDIT: I'll pick his performance in Assuran's Western/undead phalla, if we are picking specific performances.

I don't know if Iron Weasel's performance in Journey: Phalla for a New Earth qualifies because i don't know how new he was at the time. Was this within his first few games?

/Is/ Gizzy new? I was under the impression she was established when I came in, and I'm pretty much the marking line between new and not, since I was around for every phalla that counts for these awards and for none that didn't count for these awards.

EDIT: Gizzy was in ebum's PA expo phalla, which is the first relevant main.

Also, I forgot about the awards when I made TAR not a Phalla. My ego!

You have been getting better at hiding when you are mafia. Also you have gotten. Better about your play style im general since earlier this year.

Was Munkus's game the one where we had Larlar?

There needs to be an award just for him.

That game had a lot of good mechanics, with huge irony that it required players to actually vote to kill cause kills.

I think lariat chose bedlam? As the curse, his vote would kill. And he basically was the only guy who killed mafia.

And if biggiest blunder isn't in that game...I don't know what is.

ITT Preda deserves a nomination, since he held is own in a rather confusing game

*hint hint* to people overkilling discrider. Though

can we nominate more than one person?

in the past we could... I believe

in case my green award thing doesn't work

Preda managed to hold his own quite well in a rather complex game (DDS) and wasn't masoned with anyone nor seered till late game

  • CesareBCesareB Registered User regular
I am going to second the nomination of Invictus, most notably for his performance in Star Wars: Are you Mando[Phalla] where he was mafia in his first or second game, was really, really loud and distracting in the thread, and yet still managed to seem village enough to last an incredible 6 days. Also he killed a Jedi and got us within inches of victory.
    Damn you SeGaTai

  • discriderdiscrider Registered User regular
    Out of interest, why Preda?
I say this, because I deliberately guided him to last day survival (after infiltrating his squad day 3), where I would've attempted to hold onto his confidence over the seer and win the game if the host hadn't shut down the game prematurely and just forced a village win for no reason. I should have at least had the opportunity to stuff my entire foot in my mouth before that game ended, instead of just my toes. Consequently Blarney is grudged forever and ever and ever.

he was already seered, you couldn't have won

edit: unless he was the biggest goose in the world and the seer was the most untrustworthy person in the world

I completely disagree. He was new (and so didn't have a gauge on whatever meta there is here around seers), and I could have just claimed the seer was mafia.
I mean the seer's track record in DDS was abysmal. There was every reason to suspect that he had just thrown one mafia to the dogs and then just "seen" villagers the entire game.

Up to that point he seemed to have handle on things to the point that i thought he was mafia or seered (same with you)- in that both of you seemed too savvy. So I don't think he was a dumb newbie.

And I was rather surprised at how late he had been seered.

You could have attempted what you said and perhaps should have been allowed to. But like I said it still would require the goose-iest players
