Christmas Carol vs. The Ghost Of Christmas Presents and help
Carol Greenleaf save Christmas from the
Evil Snowman. Rise to the top of the ranks of
Santa's Elite Elf Squad and submit your top score to the judges. The person with the highest score received by the deadline of December 31st, 2013, wins a very special gift
from Santa Claus himself!
Carol Who?Christmas Carol vs. The Ghost Of Christmas Presents is an original game concept, designed and programmed by James Pujals and published by
Left Turn Only Productions for the 1980s Intellivision® game system. It follows the adventures of
Carol Greenleaf, Santa's most resourceful elf, as she tries to recover the presents stolen by an
Evil Snowman, and save Christmas for the children of the world. The game was originally released at the Classic Gaming Expo 2012, and went on to become a smash hit in the retro-gaming community, voted
Game Of The Year by retro-gaming enthusiasts of the site
AtariAge.com.
After the fantastic success of the high-score competition following the game's release, we have decided to turn it into an annual event. This year, the prizes include not only a specially designed custom edition of the game, but also commemorative merit badges and a first for any game competition: personalized mugs with hot-cocoa mix--
a propos to a Christmas challenge during winter time.
Everyone's A Winner
Santa Claus always acknowledges hard work and effort, and although there can be only one Grand Prize winner, Santa will award various other prizes to the top players on each rank, in recognition of their high status among
Santa's Elite Elf Squad.
Plus, all scores submitted will be published on the official
leaderboard of the
Carol vs. Ghost web site, so even if you're not in the highest rank, you still get to brag about your score.
There will be prizes awarded for every skill level, and everyone is invited, so there's just no excuse not to participate!
A Present Under Every Tree
As if bragging rights and great prizes were not enough, Santa has decided to give away the game to everyone! That's right, Christmas Carol vs. The Ghost Of Christmas Presents is now available in ROM format as a free download.
So head on now to the official
Carol vs. The World! web site to get your game ROM and for more information about the championship:
Spread the joy. Spread the word.

Top Ranking Elves...
At the lead is AtariAge user and championship veteran, Liduario, a.k.a. LidLikesIntellivision. With a total score of 10,570 points, and having rolled over the color-coded score display to yellow, it seems the others will have a hard time catching up to him. That's not to say he is safe at the top--No sir! Last year, winning entry came in at the 11th hour, surpassing Liduario's and everyone else's accomplishments in a single bound! It's still too early to tell, which adds to the excitement!
Following Liduario's lead are AtariAge users Fushek (4,528 points), JasonLikesINTV (2,650 points), and mphokie (1,240 points), as the Top Elite Elves in the Master,, Helper, and Novice ranks, respectively. The Top Elite Ranger rank remains unpopulated for the moment, waiting for some enterprising elf to rise to the challenge. Take a look at the leaderboard and marvel at the fantastic feats of the champions.
