-Has eaten an evil clone of himself, and thus gained it's power. What does this mean? How does this work? I dunno, pretty neat though.
Backstory: After several weeks hunting down the rogue fugitive (is there any other kind?) Spectre-X to no avail SPI returns to defend his battle tournament title. Perhaps he will be able to lure the dastardly Spectre-X out of hiding and deliver him to justice (consisting of a two hundred dollar fine)
Meanwhile something haunts SPI's thoughts, voices from the past. Some older than others. Is he going mad? Or is there something dark beginning to surface? Only time will tell...
Also, SPI has taken out comprehensive window insurance. Curiously no fourth wall insurance. Hmmm...
That's a good question. I talked to Alpha before PAX to see if he could back up the entire sub-forum into a offline, downloadable version. He said no problem, but wait until after PAX. I sent him a reminder but never got a reply.
Whippy said he was going to delete the whole thing, and I sent him a PM saying to hold up and gave him the lowdown to include the fact that another tourney was in the works, but he never replied.
I was going to do what Toji suggested and publish the whole thing in a nicely organized hardcover. I even talked to Khoo about to make sure it was alright, what with using the Penny-Arcade name and all. He said I could either do it for no royalties, or with royalties but they all went to Child's Play. I was going to do the second option and I have a good chunk of the book finished, but, uh...yea. It's gonna be hard to finish without half the material needed.
So yea...the whole thing's gone. It's going to make things alot harder to do this tournament, but I'm up to the challenge.

Great. My pics look like trash compared to the others. As you can see I have no skills in colorization or whatever the hell you call it, but I would like to enter this tourney anyway, so here is my hastily draw character. I am going on a cruise next week and won't have access to a pc so I wanted to get a submission in before the culling of us nubs.
Name: Zackery
Occupation: Monster Hunter (in training)
Powers: None. He possesses a cursed messenger bag which he cannot remove. He can pull anything he wants out of the bag but it usually doesn't help whatever situation he's in much.
Back story: Cursed by a bag which he "borrowed" from his older brother, this "bag" houses the spirit of a demon that doesn't like young Zack too much, so he plays tricks on him. For instance Zack is surrounded by zombies so he reaches into the bag expecting to pull out a shotgun.
He pulls out a shotgun- but it has no ammo.
Seeing as how the tournament is currently lacking in furry fighters...
Name: Catnip Cat
Height: 2’ 6â€
Story: Was a normal cat who lived with a reclusive monk in New Jersey. The monk attempted a ritual to enter the cat's body to extend his horrible life, but halfway through a stray bullet went through his window and into his head. Unfortunately for him he was killed before the ceremony could be completed, but fortunately for the entire world on that day Catnip Cat was born. Without an owner and with a new consciousness, he left the apartment and now travels from city to city alone.
Abilities: Natural cat abilities, such as great balance and reflexes. The hat doesn't do anything. It's just a hat. Also, he is in possession of a special breed of catnip that sends him into a beserker mode, only for a couple of minutes and after which he crashes with a really bad hangover.
Weaknesses: Small, not very strong.
And I contend that it is impossible to kill 100 zombies

Consider me more than interested. I'll have my submission up on Tuesday when I have access to a scanner at school.
Its totally bogus that the Battle Board got axed just now as so much of the story and inspiration is lost to us. Talk about bad timing.

So I appreciate it, I'm not shluffing your guidelines, I'm just taking my time on it because I have other things with deadlines right now and this has no deadline yet so I'm just taking it easy on this until there's either a hard date or I have nothing urgent on my schedule.
Let it be known, if there was a due-date I'd have it done already, I am not too busy and will not be too busy for this tourney. Just letting you know my full submission is forthcoming and thanking you for accepting me in already.
