Day 2
The master of the mansion called via loudspeakers for the players to meet in the dining hall. Savory food was laid out on the table, which he assured that they were not tampered with.
"I can kill you all where you stand and there's nothing you can do about it."
After the group enjoyed delicious duck and the finest wine, it was not long before they began to realize one among them was missing.
A giant TV monitor at the end of the dining hall flickered to life. The footage showed a sight that made the civilians cry out in fear.
The body of Kirindal was slumped on the desk in what appeared to be the study room. His face was bloated and had an unnatural greenish hue, and the handle of a dagger stuck out of his neck. A pool of blood stained the carpet.
The unknown voice laughed and said, "Looks like one of you actually has done it! Now we'll proceed to the next part of the game."
"You've seen this poor dead fellow. Now decide who among you is the killer. Guess right, and you will be rewarded. Guess wrong... and you will be punished for your lack of judgment."
Well, technically, nobody said you had to vote for someone that could possibly have done it. So if you have the lone vote on somebody not poison/blade then you're totally safe
I tend to agree discrider seems like he would be the most cutthroat and perhaps not be aware Kirindal plays much (read: at all) . Granted I could see other newbies or others playing mind games (e.g. expecting people to respond the way I responded and thus did so.)

Unless you know for sure the killer, the safest play is to wait until 1 minute before vote close and then vote for a one off.
Hmm.
Safety is boring
Even if you get it right you make yourself even more of a target because judgement can be stolen. Have fun advertising how much more valuable your death will be to the murderers.

Well I guess if I have to nominate my own executioner, it may as well be Vertroue.
Wheee 1 in 7 chance of holding on to my own life.
in a game where everyone has to ultimately kill each other, isn't everyone?
I might have to do that near vote close I guess.
Boo on you. Boo.
