Apparently moving to a new place means no-one wants to stay there. About 4 people went missing while I was playing tonight, started it up and I saw that Iolo had run off with the grenade launcher. If you're scared I understand running away, but did you have to take the gun?

Yeah, Breakdown is survive with very finite resources, no story mission BS, and move to a fresh version of the map when necessary. However, every time you move on the difficulty will increase. I think difficulty is more zombies, more infestations, less cars, and less survivor spawns. I think there's also a score component, but Breakdown playthroughs take so long that I can't see that ever coming into play unless you're super dedicated.

Update 8: All the luck Pixie has is bad.
Start off seeing that Iolo had gotten scared and run away. If that wasn't bad enough that cowardly bastard ran off with the grenade launcher, just because he was the only one using it doesn't mean it's his. Pixie's back is still injured and is once again sick from food poisoning, five chefs with a working kitchen, this seems like it's more deliberate than accidental. PLA went out and found a case of ammunition in a pickup truck. We got some food from foraging and PLA finding some canned goods. Along with the ammo and food, PLA found some fuel and brought it back home. The feast was great and improved everyone's vitality and stamina. The garden is planted and since we have two a farmer it should grow without any problems. Some fuel is used to expand the range of the outposts and Buttcleft goes to the library to research ways to improve the yield from our garden.
Elvenshae meets with another survivor Joel that wants some help clearing out an infestation.
The infestation is really far away so they hop in a truck and drive out.
Well shit. They clear the infestation and Joel thanks Elvenshae for the help and gives us some food. Elvenshae starts searching the wreck for anything useful. He finds some loose 45. caliber rounds and a large backpack.
He gets a call for some help taking down an armored zombie not far from his location and he drives over.
He meets up with Skiddles and together they hunt down and kill a SWAT zombie. Skiddles heads home and Elvenshae searches some buildings finding a heavy weapon and some building materials. Grabbing the materials he hops in the truck and drives home.
Back at home he drops off the materials and goes to survey the area.
He spots an area that could make for a good home and marks it on his map.
While Elvenshae was surveying the area Pixie and Nocren got into another shouting match. Those two cannot seem to get along. Lily asks Elvenshae to survey the area around where we used to live to make sure we didn't miss anything important there. He takes a short run and climbs up an abandoned office building's fire escape to get a good view.
Apparently we did miss all those infestations that were springing just down the street. We'll need to start working on clearing those out soon or else they'll cause trouble.
In the meantime Elvenshae goes home to grab some ammo and heads out to help take down a juggernaut.
He meets up with Nocren and they both are ready to fight a juggernaut. They make a quick search of the field and find a backpack and some shotgun shells that Elvenshae takes.
When they spot the freak Elvenshae takes a few shots at it with his shotgun and then switches to his axe when it gets close. It grabs Nocren and takes a few bites of him.
They're able to take it down before it can do any more damage to them. Nocren says thanks for the help and heads on home. Elvenshae gets a call from Lily that someone needs to talk to Big Mc and he heads home to do so.
At home he asks Big Mc to come with him.
Elvenshae: Come on. You and me are going to go out there and kick some ass. You'll feel better.
Big Mc: Sounds Good.
They make their way to some office buildings.
E: Some pretty scary shit going on out there, huh?
B: You can say that again.
E: Hell, if I'm being honest, some days I don't even want to get out of bed in the morning, you know?
B: I guess...
While on their way there Elvenshae's cardio improved to level 4. They make quick work of all the zombies in the building and Elvenshae decides to make a quick detour and search the courthouse.
They have no idea what they can expect to find at the courthouse. Elvenshae starts searching while Big Mc is transfixed by a painting.
Holy shit. Not just one but two assault rifles. This makes up for the lack of a grenade launcher. In the rest of the building all they find is some blunt weapons so Elvenshae grabs the ammo and runs home.
E: You feeling any better?
B: Maybe.
E: Look, you're not alone. Everybody's scared. Just don't do anything stupid, okay?
B: Yeah. Okay, sure.
(@Elvenshae there is an actual achievement for the game called badass, and you earned it after this mission.)

They make a search of the building before they head home. During the search Elvenshae's wits skill goes up to level 5 and while fighting some zombies his axe was damaged. They find a heavy weapon, another blunt weapon, and some ammo. Grabbing the ammo Elvenshae then takes Iolo home. After getting home he's tired and puts Nocturnal in charge.
She immediately grabs one of the assault rifles that Evenshae found and swaps her weapon out for a machete. Asking NotoriousBEN to come with her she sets out to destroy an infestation.
The assault rifle allows her to headshot a screamer and a few other zombies before they can close the distance. After this infestation is cleared they search the building for anything useful. They find some more blunt weapons and a pistol, they then head home to drop it off.
Not long after they drop off the supplies they hear from Lily that someone is in trouble where they cleared one of the infestations. Fighting some zombies on their way over made Nocturnal's fighting skill go up to level 5 and her reflexes skill improve to level 3. The level 3 reflexes gives her a new area attack, the sweep kick that knocks zombies off their feet. They find CoolJammer00 in trouble and take out the zombies that are attacking him. On their way home CoolJammer00 starts talking and earns the go big or go home trait.
C: I don't know what I was thinking, going out there without backup. I guess I've always bitten off more than I could chew. Like that time when I hit on Richie Peter's girlfriend. Man, that was a mistake. So, not only does he beat the shit out of me, right, she breaks up with him over it and starts going out with me. Turns out she's a total fucking psyco. She handcuffed me to her futon and threatened me with a knife because she saw me talking to my sister. Yeah. True story.
Back at home Nocturnal thanks NotoriousBEN for his help and tells him to rest, then she switches out with Buttcleft so she can get some rest too.
Buttcleft meets up with Viking and agrees to help take down a feral zombie. Fighting some zombies while searching for the freak improved Buttcleft's fighting skill to level 7 and his heavy weapons specialization to level 3.
They find the feral zombie and proceed to remove its head. After its dead Viking heads home and Lily calls Buttcleft to tell him that Big Mc was spotted near where Iolo was found. He searches a nearby warehouse finding a heavy weapon, a blunt weapon, and some building materials. He takes the materials to take home and makes a detour to the gun shop to look for some supplies. He finds a rifle and an edged weapon before making a loud noise and having to run for home. At home Buttcleft learns that Viking ran into an infestation on his way home and is now missing, he switches out with Skiddles so he can take a rest.
Work is started on improving the medical area with the materials Buttcleft found and Skiddles heads out to search for Big Mc.
In one of the buildings that he searches he decides to build an outpost so that hordes heading for home are destroyed before they reach the bridge. After finding Big Mc and convincing him to go home Skiddles searches a nearby house. He finds some food and runs it home.
Skiddles gets ready to sleep but as he does hears that Pixie has now gone missing. (This actually pissed me off a little. It happened right before I quit for the night.)
Also, everyone's stats have been updated on the survivor list except for two, I missed one and the other was unavailable.

Update 9: R.I.P.
Unfortunately during the night Pixie and Viking were found dead. PLA was drunk and misfired her gun injuring Big Mc. Iolo and Elvenshae found some materials and brought them home, during which Elvenshae hurt himself. PLA found some canned goods and brought them back home. Buttcleft finished his work in the library and the work in the garden has been optimized. Finally the upgrade to the infirmary was completed.
NotoriousBEN was looking for some combat training and Nocturnal decided to some him some moves. They make their way to a shed some distance from home so they don't attract zombies there, or worse iolo's attention. At the shed NotoriousBEN starts training his fighting by smashing zombies with his frying pan, Nocturnal assists with her machete and improves her edged weapon specialization to level 2.
They go to another shed to practice shooting.
Nocturnal: Now let's try some shooting. If you have one, attach a suppressor to muffle the sound. It's not silent, but it makes a big difference. Watch your ammo and try to reload when it's safe.
NotoriousBEN: Thanks. I feel a lot more confident now.
NotoriousBEN goes home and Nocturnal searches the house they were at and finds some building materials to bring home. At home she switches out with PLA.
She grabs a pipe wrench and rifle from the supply locker and searches a nearby shed. She finds some medicine that is quickly brought home.
Capsaicin is looking for some help to take down an armored zombie and PLA heads over to assist. On the way over she hears that NotoriousBEN and Iolo took out a group of zombies, they used up two cases of ammunition but helped improve morale.
PLA finds the SWAT zombie and Capsaicin takes it out before it can do any significant damage. PLA goes across the street and searches a construction site finding zombies, taking them out improves her fighting skill to level 3, and some building materials that she runs home. After dropping off the materials at home she heads out to search the gun shop. All that she finds is a hunting shotgun and some ammo.
After fully searching the shop PLA decides to make it an outpost and runs some ammo home. At home Elvenshae starts preparing a feast in remembrance of Pixie and Viking. Lily says that some other survivors would like access to our library and we agree to allow them access for some cases of ammunition. PLA is tired and has Lucia take over.
She grabs an axe and revolver from the supply locker. She heads out to help Magic Pink who is in trouble. She finds and helps him then she decides to try to take out an infestation.
The two of them reach the second floor of an office building and find the zombies. Lucia fires her revolver into the crowd taking out a few zombies then she and Magic Pink start fighting them up close. During the fight Lucia's fighting skill goes up to level 2. They're able to take out the zombies and clear the infestation. After escorting Magic Pink back home Lucia goes to an industrial supply store to look for supplies. She finds some materials to run home. She then makes another scavenging run this time to a house, in which she finds some weapons and loose medicine. She runs back s case of ammunition that she found and switches out with Iolo.
Iolo asks Nocturnal to come and watch his back because he plans on going out and clearing some infestations. They head to an area that has four infestations all very close to each other,
Arriving at the first one Iolo quickly clears the zombies inside with the grenade launcher. They go in and take care of the few remaining zombies. A quick search of the house finds Iolo a new edged weapon, a short wakizashi. They decide to try their hand at clearing out another infestation next door.
They are able to take out the zombies in the second infestation and clear it. In the fight Iolo's edged weapon specialization went up to level 4 and he learns the low slice special attack. Feeling lucky they tackle the third infestation. They take it out just like the first two and they make their way to the fourth one.
Iolo has some trouble taking out a screamer but he and Nocturnal are able to clear the infestation. A search of the old infestations yields a few more weapons, a pistol, and some materials the they run home.
They arrive home safely and Elvenshae informs them that the feast is ready. They all raise a glass in remembrance of Pixie and Viking and then enjoy the meal and relative calm it brings.
Are we gonna vote on who gets on the RV? Because you guys suck at politicking.
You need someone to drink all the alcohol so that no one gets drunk and does something stupid. Only Lucia can handle such a weighty responsibility.

Update 10: We move, again.
We start off seeing that for allowing another group of survivors access to our library we got some ammunition. PLA found some medicine while out scavenging and NotoriousBEN found some medicine as well.
NotoriousBEN gets ready to go out and help hunt down a freak and grabs a backpack, wrench, and pistol from the supply locker. He also attaches an improvised suppressor to his pistol. While fighting some zombies on the way over his fighting skill improves to level 3. He meets up with Skiddles and starts searching for the bloater.
They spot the freak at a construction site and NotoriousBEN takes aim at it with his pistol. One bullet is enough to make it burst and Skiddles thanks him for the help and heads on home. NotoriousBEN searches some of the nearby houses and finds some building materials. He grabs it and runs home.
After dropping off the materials at home he goes to a survey point so he can take a look around. He spots another infestation that has taken over a house. Not wanting to take an infestation on alone he searches a nearby office for supplies. He only finds some pain relievers but hears over the radio that someone wants some help hunting some armored zombies and goes to assist.
There are some zombies in his way and NotoriousBEN uses his pistol to shoot the propane tank that they were close to. (I didn't need to shoot the tank but I hadn't shot one yet so I wanted to see how big the explosion was, and earn an achievement the bruce in the process.)
Big Mc asks what that large explosion was and NotoriousBEN said it was probably just Iolo having fun up in the watchtower. They start searching for the armored zombies in a warehouse close by. Upon finding the three army zombies NotoriousBEN and Big Mc started fighting them. NotoriousBEN's fighting skill goes up to level 4 while taking them out. Big Mc heads home while NotoriousBEN searches the warehouse hoping to find some useful supplies. He finds some more blunt weapons and some bullets, as well as three caches of materials. He takes one of them home and makes a note to come back for the rest of the materials later.
At home he switches out with Elvenshae so he can get some rest. Since we now have enough materials to be able to move Elvenshae goes on ahead to the warehouse to make sure it's clear of zombies.
The warehouse is certainly large enough for us, we outgrew the savini residence about fives minutes after we moved in. Work is started on cleaning up some space for a few beds, we'll need another space made into a sleeping area to have enough beds for everyone. The storage area and a space for a workshop are also worked on being cleaned up. With the materials we have left work is begun on building a watchtower. Elvenshae then goes out to build some more outposts so the home is protected from hordes.
At the fast food restaurant he finds some "food" and sets the building up as an outpost. After bringing back some of that food-like substance he goes to search the fuel station. At home work is started on another sleeping area and experiments are done on preserving our food.
The gas station doesn't have have much left other than some 357. caliber rounds behind the counter and some codeine that Elvenshae takes for himself. After the station is turned into an outpost he heads back home because someone is having some anger issues.
He talks to PLA and has her follow him so that she can work out some of those anger issues.
(I think I ran into a glitch here when Big Mc photo-bombed the screenshot. He had the same stance the entire time as he slid across the screen.)
They head out to a mini-mart to take care of a group of zombies.
E: Seems like everyone's been on edge lately.
P: I guess.
E: Some folks are kind of worried about you. You okay?
P: I'm fine, alright?
They clear the mini-mart and then do a quick search. Elvenshae finds some more codeine and some food that he grabs and the two of them head home.
E: Anyway, I wanted you to know that I understand your frustrations.
P: That why you wanted this bit of quality time?
E: We're all stressed, okay? But we can't afford to be at each other's throats. So start playing nice, or you're out on your ass.
They get back home and PLA goes to the sleeping area to get some rest. Elvenshae goes out to find some heavy gloves so that construction of the watchtower can continue. His first stop is a warehouse nearby. He finds the gloves and a blunt weapon there, he also finds some building materials to bring home as well.
With the heavy gloves work on the watchtower can continue and with the materials he found work is started on a medical area. Elvenshae's next stop is the warehouse that NotoriousBEN searched earlier to grab some the materials that are still there.
He brings one of the caches of materials back home and Buttcleft convinces the rest of the group to start constructing a library. As work begins on it Elvenshae goes to bed to get some rest.

Unfortunately during the night Pixie and Viking were found dead. PLA was drunk and misfired her gun injuring Big Mc. Iolo and Elvenshae found some materials and brought them home, during which Elvenshae hurt himself. PLA found some canned goods and brought them back home. Buttcleft finished his work in the library and the work in the garden has been optimized. Finally the upgrade to the infirmary was completed.
NotoriousBEN was looking for some combat training and Nocturnal decided to some him some moves. They make their way to a shed some distance from home so they don't attract zombies there, or worse iolo's attention. At the shed NotoriousBEN starts training his fighting by smashing zombies with his frying pan, Nocturnal assists with her machete and improves her edged weapon specialization to level 2.
They go to another shed to practice shooting.
Nocturnal: Now let's try some shooting. If you have one, attach a suppressor to muffle the sound. It's not silent, but it makes a big difference. Watch your ammo and try to reload when it's safe.
NotoriousBEN: Thanks. I feel a lot more confident now.
NotoriousBEN goes home and Nocturnal searches the house they were at and finds some building materials to bring home. At home she switches out with PLA.
She grabs a pipe wrench and rifle from the supply locker and searches a nearby shed. She finds some medicine that is quickly brought home.
Capsaicin is looking for some help to take down an armored zombie and PLA heads over to assist. On the way over she hears that NotoriousBEN and Iolo took out a group of zombies, they used up two cases of ammunition but helped improve morale.
PLA finds the SWAT zombie and Capsaicin takes it out before it can do any significant damage. PLA goes across the street and searches a construction site finding zombies, taking them out improves her fighting skill to level 3, and some building materials that she runs home. After dropping off the materials at home she heads out to search the gun shop. All that she finds is a hunting shotgun and some ammo.
After fully searching the shop PLA decides to make it an outpost and runs some ammo home. At home Elvenshae starts preparing a feast in remembrance of Pixie and Viking. Lily says that some other survivors would like access to our library and we agree to allow them access for some cases of ammunition. PLA is tired and has Lucia take over.
She grabs an axe and revolver from the supply locker. She heads out to help Magic Pink who is in trouble. She finds and helps him then she decides to try to take out an infestation.
The two of them reach the second floor of an office building and find the zombies. Lucia fires her revolver into the crowd taking out a few zombies then she and Magic Pink start fighting them up close. During the fight Lucia's fighting skill goes up to level 2. They're able to take out the zombies and clear the infestation. After escorting Magic Pink back home Lucia goes to an industrial supply store to look for supplies. She finds some materials to run home. She then makes another scavenging run this time to a house, in which she finds some weapons and loose medicine. She runs back s case of ammunition that she found and switches out with Iolo.
Iolo asks Nocturnal to come and watch his back because he plans on going out and clearing some infestations. They head to an area that has four infestations all very close to each other,
Arriving at the first one Iolo quickly clears the zombies inside with the grenade launcher. They go in and take care of the few remaining zombies. A quick search of the house finds Iolo a new edged weapon, a short wakizashi. They decide to try their hand at clearing out another infestation next door.
They are able to take out the zombies in the second infestation and clear it. In the fight Iolo's edged weapon specialization went up to level 4 and he learns the low slice special attack. Feeling lucky they tackle the third infestation. They take it out just like the first two and they make their way to the fourth one.
Iolo has some trouble taking out a screamer but he and Nocturnal are able to clear the infestation. A search of the old infestations yields a few more weapons, a pistol, and some materials the they run home.
They arrive home safely and Elvenshae informs them that the feast is ready. They all raise a glass in remembrance of Pixie and Viking and then enjoy the meal and relative calm it brings.
Take it easy...
You need someone to drink all the alcohol so that no one gets drunk and does something stupid. Only Lucia can handle such a weighty responsibility.

-We found him under a heap of dead gee's. Hammer in hand. He's the reason the rest of those infestations were easy to clear out...
I also find it interesting that people are starting to show up in the same teams. I'm sure it has something to do with the sleep schedule, but its kinda neat.

We start off seeing that for allowing another group of survivors access to our library we got some ammunition. PLA found some medicine while out scavenging and NotoriousBEN found some medicine as well.
NotoriousBEN gets ready to go out and help hunt down a freak and grabs a backpack, wrench, and pistol from the supply locker. He also attaches an improvised suppressor to his pistol. While fighting some zombies on the way over his fighting skill improves to level 3. He meets up with Skiddles and starts searching for the bloater.
They spot the freak at a construction site and NotoriousBEN takes aim at it with his pistol. One bullet is enough to make it burst and Skiddles thanks him for the help and heads on home. NotoriousBEN searches some of the nearby houses and finds some building materials. He grabs it and runs home.
After dropping off the materials at home he goes to a survey point so he can take a look around. He spots another infestation that has taken over a house. Not wanting to take an infestation on alone he searches a nearby office for supplies. He only finds some pain relievers but hears over the radio that someone wants some help hunting some armored zombies and goes to assist.
There are some zombies in his way and NotoriousBEN uses his pistol to shoot the propane tank that they were close to. (I didn't need to shoot the tank but I hadn't shot one yet so I wanted to see how big the explosion was, and earn an achievement the bruce in the process.)
Big Mc asks what that large explosion was and NotoriousBEN said it was probably just Iolo having fun up in the watchtower. They start searching for the armored zombies in a warehouse close by. Upon finding the three army zombies NotoriousBEN and Big Mc started fighting them. NotoriousBEN's fighting skill goes up to level 4 while taking them out. Big Mc heads home while NotoriousBEN searches the warehouse hoping to find some useful supplies. He finds some more blunt weapons and some bullets, as well as three caches of materials. He takes one of them home and makes a note to come back for the rest of the materials later.
At home he switches out with Elvenshae so he can get some rest. Since we now have enough materials to be able to move Elvenshae goes on ahead to the warehouse to make sure it's clear of zombies.
The warehouse is certainly large enough for us, we outgrew the savini residence about fives minutes after we moved in. Work is started on cleaning up some space for a few beds, we'll need another space made into a sleeping area to have enough beds for everyone. The storage area and a space for a workshop are also worked on being cleaned up. With the materials we have left work is begun on building a watchtower. Elvenshae then goes out to build some more outposts so the home is protected from hordes.
At the fast food restaurant he finds some "food" and sets the building up as an outpost. After bringing back some of that food-like substance he goes to search the fuel station. At home work is started on another sleeping area and experiments are done on preserving our food.
The gas station doesn't have have much left other than some 357. caliber rounds behind the counter and some codeine that Elvenshae takes for himself. After the station is turned into an outpost he heads back home because someone is having some anger issues.
He talks to PLA and has her follow him so that she can work out some of those anger issues.
(I think I ran into a glitch here when Big Mc photo-bombed the screenshot. He had the same stance the entire time as he slid across the screen.)
E: Seems like everyone's been on edge lately.
P: I guess.
E: Some folks are kind of worried about you. You okay?
P: I'm fine, alright?
They clear the mini-mart and then do a quick search. Elvenshae finds some more codeine and some food that he grabs and the two of them head home.
E: Anyway, I wanted you to know that I understand your frustrations.
P: That why you wanted this bit of quality time?
E: We're all stressed, okay? But we can't afford to be at each other's throats. So start playing nice, or you're out on your ass.
They get back home and PLA goes to the sleeping area to get some rest. Elvenshae goes out to find some heavy gloves so that construction of the watchtower can continue. His first stop is a warehouse nearby. He finds the gloves and a blunt weapon there, he also finds some building materials to bring home as well.
With the heavy gloves work on the watchtower can continue and with the materials he found work is started on a medical area. Elvenshae's next stop is the warehouse that NotoriousBEN searched earlier to grab some the materials that are still there.
He brings one of the caches of materials back home and Buttcleft convinces the rest of the group to start constructing a library. As work begins on it Elvenshae goes to bed to get some rest.
