Is it astroturfing mockery ahead of his re-election?
Yep! And it's great.
McConnell releases the ad without sound. Internet has fun with it. His opponent has more fun with it. Daily Show starts making fun of it and it explodes.
I just had the idea to try and run some sort of PnP RPG set in the Borderlands universe.
I should really focus on original thoughts once in a while...
nonsense
the games I've run using established IP have done much better than the ones I've tried with only my own ideas
That's true.
At any rate, now borderlands 2 has inspired a board game idea out of me.
Will its tyranny know no end?
Is it basically Descent or Doom but lighthearted? Cause I'd love that.
Not at all.
the game I have in mind, (I'll call it Gunrunners for now) would be about building guns, arming factions in exchange for cash or your own private security forces.
Basically, you'd be playing the role of the arms dealers and gunsmiths.
Also, isn't McConnell being primaried by the Tea Party?
I never thought I would say this, but I really hope McConnell is re-elected. :P
yeah I figured it'd be from the primary campaign.
Though I'm sure Stewart doesn't mind as much fratricide as he can stir up, especially if it means a super right-wing neophite knocks out the minority leader and loses the seat to a Democrat.
I don't have any editing skill or software and I'm not going to start for Mcconnell, but if I did I would be tempted by I Like Big Butts and just keep all the creepy smile shots in it.

wooooooooooo freedom
(lets ignore the fact that greeks also had slaves and that athenian democracy was pretty exlusionary)
Hearts are for girls!
They're lily leaves!
Were Spartans in the film?
aha, I see it is a Daily Show thing. So entirely manufactured for politics.
ahh well.

not entirely, he released it for this to be done.
also barely political

there may have been some underneath all the cgi abs
The Daily Show covered it because his primary opponent did a spoof of it. So blame Matt Bevin.
I'm just trying to figure out if the greeks were able to actually win this time. :P

this is from the wiki (because I never heard the term before)
"a fellow from Texas can tell the difference between grass roots and AstroTurf... this is generated mail".
so... maybe we shouldn't argue with spool here
oh, yes, there were some spartans
the film is mostly a dramatisation of the battles of artemisium and salamis
Boy howdy!

My contribution thus far.
I could do this shit all day.
Let's play Mario Kart or something...
Did they have lots of unhistorical ramming?
I know.
I read a few reviews and, well, none did like it. Did you like it?
I'm sure he's okay with people ethnically descended from the Chinese, just not people who are in China itself
well done
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
That's a nice piece of editing there. :^:
lots of ramming
plus the greek force was like 30 ships, and would wipe out entire persian fleets
but i wasnt really expecting historical accuracy going in, so
I'm kind of proud of that one.

Spool isn't from Texas.
predictable, bad dialogue, not historically accurate
kind of a fun action movie though
it's not going to win an academy award, and its silly to go into this kind of film expecting otherwise
