The last Epidemic card has been drawn, resulting in Khartoum getting 3 cubes & having an Outbreak, making Kinshasa & Johannesburg Outbreak as well, (now at 7!).
Would @Daemonis like to play "Resilient Population" now to remove a card from the Infection discards before they are reshuffled and 4 are drawn from them? If so, which card would be removed?

We have to draw 16 between that before curing everything. Mutation we have not to fear since we will at max get 5 purple cubes in that time and we have 6 cubes left. That said, the first four city come out now. We can't do anything for them. Next four come out after jdark. Still can't do anything (all moves taken to cure). Before the next four we have Discrider turn, to clean as much as he can (better one I see is 2 between Kinshasa, Johannesburg and Kartoum, but I could be wrong). than other four city between them. My turn and red cure. Last four card. Daemonis cure black.
But even if we're extremely lucky and don't get any bad city in the first eight ones, and even if Disc could clean 4 bad ones (and I really can't see how), than we will still have at best 15 good and 2 bad in the first 17th draw. And having still to draw 16, not drawing bad is impossible.
Wait on stever for confirmation on discard pile (I could have counted wrong) but unless someone has a different plan we've lost.
I can get all the yellow ones if JDark teleports me to Lima next turn (and then spends his other 3 actions to pile Preda, himself and yourself all on his black card city next to Delhi)

What happens is this.
Jdark uses Borrowed time.
He moves to Karachi.
He teleports El Skid to Tokyo, me to Lima, Preda and Daemonis to Karachi.
He uses the last action to teleport El Skid to Karachi, just in case there's a forced movement into Mumbai card left? or maybe he moves Preda to Delhi, so Preda can move into Mumbai.
Basically, we're one action short, but Daemonis should be removing Algiers since we know about that card before he moved.
I may have misinterpreted the rules, and since we have to deal with each player card as it was drawn, we had no chance to see the special card until after the Epidemic.
In which case, Tokyo is removed by Daemonis, and El Skid is teleported to Karachi (along with everyone else) and then walked to Mumbai, instead of to Tokyo and then an extra action.
Not sure I like the mutation though. Seems like it cycles the deck to fast in a game where a large amount of strategy (and admittedly my beginning strategy this game) is mitigating the top of the deck's effects.
Without mutation, the dangers are recurring always in the same locations, witch could make the game significantly easyer or significantly harder, depending on the distribution of the cities hit by the epidemics. With mutation, every time a mutation card get in an extra possible target get in the sistem, but at the same time, if the epidemic come early, some target get out of the loop, moving the danger around the world, spreading the infection around but at the same time making it less intense. We almost have no outbreak risk for half the game, while without mutation at the second epidemic the world is already full of 3 cube cities. In our game our fourth epidemic coming really early following travel ban cut out the mutation cards from the top of the deck, making a usual recurring deck, with also purple cubes, making it all harder...

I was about to start up a Virulent Strain variant game, which I haven't run yet, but if you guys want, I could run a Base Set game to get some players more virus-time.(?)

Not sure I like the mutation though. Seems like it cycles the deck to fast in a game where a large amount of strategy (and admittedly my beginning strategy this game) is mitigating the top of the deck's effects.
