Just looked at it, it appears to be a Threes clone, but with Multiples of Two.

The approaching end of school is kinda freaky.

Gonna have to get a jerb,

    repay debt,

    grow as a person, etc.

    Worst lecture title ever:

“It’s Not Only What You Know: It’s How You Use it to Achieve Your Professional Goals.”

Like, seriously. And yet, I'll probably go there tomorrow (open lecture), if nothing else to have an excuse to hang out at the student union bar and get drunk which I've done far too little (not at all) which is probably considered anti-social by many if I know my compatriots

Also, @Irond Will‌ that article about Nordics vs. Boston seemed fairly sensible. Except the cheap dig at Danish food, that's uncalled for since no one living here restricts their diet to traditional food - at least in Copenhagen, it's very easy to get food outside the (admittedly kind of boring) traditional cuisine. And because of our agricultural focus, high quality ingredients are available too.

The weather is kind of shit though, except we don't have natural disasters.

Finding examples of more solidarity-focused models of society closer to home seems like a good idea, though. If nothing else, it'll make it harder for hard line conservatives to play the "lolEurope more liek Scandinavian Socialist Republic amirite"-card.

It's kind of intimidating at first but the adjustment really isn't as hard as it seems.

A lot of the shit parts can be done automatically. There's a good chance you can set up autopay for utilities and rent. You probably started learning how to cook and clean in college, and it's no different when you're on the real world.

The two biggest adjustments are 1) having money and 2) having a much more set 40 hour/week schedule (for salary jobs) rather than classes+homework at odd hours. Not bad at all.

Also speaking of Europe I'm eating chips with (vinegar-y) mayonnaise because fak u hodgeheg

Also a burrito/gyros/whatever (dürum in the local, Turkish-influenced parlance) filled with a lamb-spinach Indian curry. Fusion cooking!

The small fast food place I got it from, Five Star Kebab, was mentioned once in one sentence of a New York Times article that they've made into a poster and general marketing. #smallstatementality

@jakobagger ha i didn't even notice the dig at danish food :P but yeah i mean the article was really aimed at the american liberal culture that kind of idealizes scandinavian governance and i think it made a good point. america is highly heterogenous and seems like a middling nation in our 350 million person aggregate but when you decompose it to smaller, more manageable elements it starts to look either quite good or altogether terrible.

which isn't to say that scandinavian countries don't get some things right that even our best areas whiff on.

danish weather is something like english weather, right?

    dinner:

    roasted celeriac chips
oven-roasted broccoli with garlic and panko, topped with shredded cave-aged gruyere
    flatiron steak with habanero chimichurri

all turned out p well. the broc was a little undercooked because i live in dread of overcooked broc. the celeriac chips were quite good! cooked the flatiron steak the same way i did last time (season it, put it in the oven at low convection heat - 150 or so - for about an hour to dry out the outside and bind up the proteins, then sear it on a super-hot cooktop). was p good meal.
