They posted the vacancy for SKR at Paizo. I swear to god, if you get that gig, I will feed you a steady stream of really fucking stupid feats. I mean we'll make prone shooting look like a god damn good idea.

    Feat: Trained Fighter

Gives +2 Reflex save to prevent any accidental self-stabbings. Can only be used two times per day. Can be taken up to four times but for different weapons each time.

I think more minor ailments need endearing names.

We'll start calling a headache Peter Rabbit

A cold can be Old Man Phillips.

    general diet thing

I realised I was typically eating like, 6 slices a day with loads of butter/marmalade/mayo/what have you thrown on top

so I've replaced that with high fibre cereal and fruit for breakfast and a salad for lunch

I'm glad you recognised your bread problem, Tav.

We have the problem that bad generally goes stale before we finish it. Possibly because bread machine bread is often iffy and supermarket stuff is bad.

If there was a nearby bakery I could see us not having that problem.

But it does keep the ducks happy

Though I suppose conversely it really wouldn't have mattered, because at my current rate through these questions and the approximate usefulness of the answers given, I still will have no idea what's going on.

I see you're watching Chuck. As you watch Chuck, you might have the urge to watch the fifth season. DO NOT DO IT! I know Chuck is charming despite it's flaws. And you're thinking Timothy Dalton is always a hoot. But season 5 is so fucking bad. So if that urge to watch season 5 becomes strong, then find the point where two walls make a sharp corner and smash your head against it till that feeling passes.

to be honest, I'm not sure I'm going to make it through the third season.
I just... kinda feel that the story was over after the second season

sure, they threw in some last-minute "the problem is bigger than you thought" issues to reasonably extend the story. And they kinda rushed through the "rescue the father" bit, so it wasn't handled perfectly or anything, but

    - Chuck and Sarah were ready to run away together
    - Ellie and Awesome got married
    - Scott Bakula became family with Bruce Boxleitner
    - Casey got promoted
    - the Intersect was out of Chuck's head
    - Morgan has grown up a little (not a lot, but ... he's trying)

    Things felt good.

when I look at the wikipedia article and learn that the show was almost canceled during the second season, I suddenly understand. That is, everything with the Ring was (I shouldn't say clearly) added when they realized they were renewed; they couldn't extend the current story, so they had to come up with something, fast, and I kinda think it shows. So, because the audience couldn't let things go, the showrunners couldn't leave us with a happy ending.

so far, season three feels like they just reset time to return the status quo and try to recapture the magic ... but the characters have changed and so that status quo isn't right anymore. Jeff and Lester aren't just quirky co-workers like they were in the beginning, they're deeply disturbed.

in short, it is a perfect example of why I hate television. Finish the story. If you decide you have a new story, create a new show. Chuck 2.0 or Quantum Chuck. Bring the main cast (Sarah, Casey, Chuck) along, give them a new supporting cast and bring the old one in for cameos.

haven't met Timothy Dalton's character yet.

I will take your season five comment under advisement.
