I'd be interested to hear you speak on this a bit as I wouldn't say that I have a technical appreciation for such things
oh i have nothing terribly clever to say about Neuromancer
i really enjoyed it, but i think what's most notable about it is how beautiful and evocative his prose is, especially for so young an author, and the really fascinating world he builds (there's a reason it pretty much spawned the cyberpunk genre, right). plus the speculative misses are as interesting as the successful predictions.
but the characterization is very shallow and vague, the plot is muddled, there are a lot of abrupt transitions and a lack of thematic unity - you can see he slapped together a lot of ideas, good ideas, but didn't assemble them in a compelling way. it's still a remarkable first novel, and a lot more "literary" than i thought it would be.
i haven't read his other books, but i hear he improves pretty rapidly on that front.
i haven't read Accelerando.

Look there are some situations where wearing a nice suit is appropriate.
Business meetings of all sorts, funerals and weddings (depending on the wedding, if you plan on partying later at least bring a change of clothes), trials, and anything you need to look or want to look spiffy for. Dates and such, parent teacher conferences and such.
But suits are totally not everyday wear. Function over form and all that.
Maybe I'm just biased because my job as a stay at home dad allows me to wear pajama pants for most of the day when its winter and jeans for the rest of the year when I'm outside digging in the dirt for my garden or playing with the kids.
