Are you....painting on craft paper? That is going to make your life difficult. It still feels like you are simplifying your shadows to the point where you aren't really accurately observing the shape of them. At least on the fruit, those are like perfect bands of shadow, they look almost like cue balls.

Like the kind that comes in a big roll? It looks like its bunching up a lot, as if it cant handle the water. You could go for canvas paper, or watercolor paper. Alternatively, just get a big ass chunk of Masonite and try taping your paper down so is stretched more evenly. We used to use water tape and cut our paper of the board when we were done. You can probably just do some painters tape though.

In general though, It may be hard for you to find shapes on a really smooth paper that doesn't really absorb water. May want to mix it up.

I like the structure in everything you do. Drawing people is probably my worst fear :s I'd love to see your stuff with some more definition with like pens and ink.

the left eye in both of them is traveling upwards, something thats easy to fix digitally but in traditional media you really want to lay down those guidelines and keep them there. Also you are going to have to get used to that weird funky shape that eyes make when they are in that 3/4s view: http://just-portrait-reference.tumblr.com/post/95828124688/hammpix-as-an-artist-youll-have-to-draw
