    Introducing the "Favour" System!

    Greetings, everyone!
    It's been really hard to keep this secret, but it's finally time to let the coeurl out of the bag!

    Today we'll be discussing the upcoming "Favour" system! This new system will allow adventurers to grow even closer to their favorite NPCs. Have you held out hope that one day Minfilia will look your way for longer than a cutscene? Or perhaps you offer gifts to Merlwyb to try and win her over? Well, that's what the Favour system is for!

    In an effort to lift the veil of game development, we figured this would be a good chance to show you one of the design documents that the team is using to create the new system.

    I have trouble with April Fools, and I'm usually the prankee instead of the prankster.

    I did a lot more pranking back before my 20s, when I started being unwilling to risk alienating people from my life just for a dumb joke. It's tough to tell what somebody won't take in stride, sometimes.

    One year, shortly after I got married, I staged the apartment to look like it had been robbed, parked my car a ways away and when I saw my wife driving up I cracked the door open so it'd look like somebody had left it that way and was potentially still inside. Being the badass that she is, she bravely entered and started looking around for what the thief might have taken. I jumped out at her and did jazz hands to surprise and scare her. For April Fools.

    She punched me in the nose as hard as she could.

    I saw one yesterday where you get an empty orange juice bottle, fill it with water and shake in a flavour packet from a box of instant Mac and cheese, then put it back in the fridge.

    It looks exactly like orange juice and I'm guessing tastes like cold, dead feet.
