Wait and see the movie and then decide which sets to get.

Until then just buy a bunch of the blind bag minifigs.

Metal Beards Duel. Gives you a nice sized Micro Manager, and a steam punk Pirate Cyborg that looks like a Warhammer 40k Dreadnought for ~35 bucks. Also, it has a wrist mounted shark.
If that doesn't tickle your lego bone, I've heard lots of good things about the 2in1 sets for ~30 or so.

Also, Cloud Cuckoo Palace if you can find it. At 20 bucks it's one of the cheaper movie sets and it includes minis for the two main characters and Unikitty. It's also pretty hard to find in Brick and Mortar stores from what I've seen.

If you really want to splurge, then get the Sea Cow. It's 250 bucks, and looks to be the splurgiest thing available.

    *cough*

Just buy like five of everything, wait until the sets sell out, then sell them online for a higher price than you paid.

I am reading a draft of the script from 2010

    it's weird

the opening has Indiana Jones trying to get the Kragle and he's attacked by someone called 'the Black Falcon'

and President Business is called President Iamnotarobot

which might actually be a better name than President Business

Well, Black Falcon was some old school Lego Castle sets, so that would've been a pretty sweet call back

    Hello lego thread.

I bought the sea cow on tuesday.

It's taking a lot of restraint to not build it until after I move.

So it hits BluRay/DVD on 6/17/14. So many little details that I'm sure I missed in the first viewing.

Might have to splurge on the Everything is Awesome Edition too...

If the Ecto-1 model that's coming out won't fit in there, then there's no point.

I am really excited for this one.

And that is regardless of which Michelangelo it is!

Holy smokes, the Everything is Awesome edition is, somehow, _cheaper_ in Canada than the US. That never happens! I guess this is finally the point where I have to buy a blu-ray player, because there are a lot of bits where I wanted to pause it in the theatre and look at details, and dvd just won't cut it there.

That really is a deal breaker for a set like this.
