I'm probably not gonna clean any of these up or focus on making anything consistent, but I thought it'd be fun to make rough little animatics of smash bros characters for fun and for practice
here's Rosalina:
Edit: and here's Villager too
I'm very much an amateur when it comes to animation but I like doing it! Any and all advice would be appreciated :>
Get it. It basically has all the fundamental advice that you need to get through animation. It looks like you have good instincts, which I think is harder to teach. You need a little more weight to it, alot of the actions aren't following through. The walk on the villager has a really whimsical hand swing, but it doesn't back it up with a slight bob in the step, and the stop is super stiff.
Oh yeah, I've checked that book out from the library long ago but I should really purchase it sometime soon. Thank you very much for the analysis ! I think I understand what you mean with the not following through.
Also, Photoshop. I never liked Flash that much and have yet to try Toonboom
