I think Acquisitions Inc. would make a great series for PATV. You could have the main group of course, but also mix it up (based on availability) and do some on-the-job training of new (possibly disposable) interns.

Maybe Mike DMs for a small group of Jim Darkmagic impersonators-in-training for the franchise locations (he seems to be everywhere at once!), or Binwin leads a daring raid on a goblin brewing facility with his hand-picked Bronzebottom Brigade. Maybe Omin assigns two groups to acquire the same item, and Jerry and Chris Perkins DM the groups in tandem.

I really like the Kris Straub animations using the audio too. Do more Animated Blamcasts!

Lots of questions. Are these podcasts still being done? Where are they? Why don't I see them under the "podcasts" tab? Is there an archive? Does this only happen at pax now?

I have Acquisitions Inc. to thank for getting me into D&D. Watching and listening to you guys have so much fun, and learning alongside Mike back when he was starting out, I was able to get my mind around the game. The only trouble is finding people I enjoy playing with. XD The recent live show at PAX East was a case study of how important chemistry is.

I really enjoyed getting to see them interact with Pat in this episode. I've had a chance to do some work with Pat in the last year, and he behaves quite differently when he's "star struck" (as would I be) by Mike/Jerry/Scott. It's actually really fun to see.

It seems like they've carefully avoided giving any sort of "release schedule" for these PATV episodes, but I don't understand why. Mike & Jerry have said many times that the reliability of delivering the strip by noon (PST) every MWF has been a huge part of their success, and something they strive for. Why wouldn't they want the same idea for PATV? Plus, it makes it seem extra arbitrary to make non Club PA members wait an extra week after a seemingly "delayed" episode. I'm a Club PA member, myself, but even I don't appreciate getting things a week "early" if it's not delivered regularly, and then knowing other people are waiting an extra week arbitrarily.

Can someone from PA explain any of this, please? I know we're not necessarily entitled to any answers on this, but they'd be greatly appreciated.

This only happens at PAX now, afaik

Seems like the podcasts are hosted on the D&D site

Isn't the main theater of PAX streamed? You should be able to find that somewhere.

They are a bit jumbled. I presume Wizards owns full rights, so that's why they aren't under "podcasts"? Not to mention they aren't ALL podcasts...

By far the best/easiest source I've found to locate the whole series from start to finish is here: http://pennyarcade.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_D&D_Podcasts

Hope such linking doesn't violate any forum rules... first post, I made an account just to say this.

Not so! It seems they still do podcasts from time to time, as evidenced by series 8.

Hopefully they'll do more. Acquisitions Inc. is one of my favorite things that's come from PA (and Scott Kurtz). I'm really glad they brought it to PAX East, since that's the one I can get to. I'd love to see a regular series on PATV (they've mentioned it a few times - each with a bit more certainty) but I suppose there hasn't been a large enough public outcry yet. Wzrds pls

So last go round(The Ark of the Mad Mage w/ Patrick Rothfus as Viari) they did the podcast to lead up to the conclusion in the live D&D game at PAX Prime 13. This go around, the live game at PAX East 2014(Guest star Morgan Webb as Morgann) is meant to lead into the next set of podcasts.

To find all the podcasts, if you use itunes, you can simply subscribe the the Wizards of the Coast podcasts and find them all there. For a direct download, you can find them on the WOTC site HERE!

My personal story, these podcasts provided quite a bit of entertainment and jocularity in some really dark and dangerous times in my life. I've been given public props for something I created both on the PA website and during the last live game at East 14. I still can't put into words how much I love these guys for doing what they do.

Since recently I happened to send an email to a friend recommending he listened/watched through all of these, and in that email I gave him all the links and the order, I'll just copy and paste that here for your and anyone else's benefit:

"...here's a link to the page with all of the podcasts:

    http://www.wizards.com/dnd/podcasts.aspx

You'll want to listen to the Series 1, 2, and 3 podcasts, then watch the 2010 live game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp0PgnXXf_A
then the 2011 live game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzIJemFtXXs
then the 2012 live game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2knLHWucK1A
then the series 6 podcasts back on the podcast page
then finally the 2013 live game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8Ra1ecLhtI"

Of course, since I wrote that they had the PAX East 2014 game, so you can find that at https://youtube.com/watch?v=Is6x1JvWkCk

I'm surprised there wasn't a little bit more of a nod to Chris Perkins, he seems like a fairly integral part of the Acquisitions Incorporated crew. He's the consumate DM: guiding a group according to his plan, whilst simultaneously sitting back and letting them play their own game.

He is really good, I've attended the Prime 2012 and East 2014 sessions of Acquisitions Inc and Chris does a great job of progressing the story while adding in real-time elements of feedback (such as the audience reactions).

The more ornate his head gear, the more I enjoy his performance as well. :)

How come I can't buy those super sweet Acquisitions Inc. steins in your store? They're amazing.
