    You can't use any BBCode.

    :(

    It sucks, I know...

    Just...don't fly off the handle.

    Holy fuck, it killed your FAQ for the Forum Battle in SE.

    I hate that shit...

    Ahh, it'll be back. Don't worry.

    Alpha has probably the coolest avatar on these forums, I would say.

    I do hope he goes back to the chicken glove, though.

    What you should do is just seperate the hat from the background imge, that will make for a much more maintainable php avatar.

    I know, but it's easier to just do this...For me at least.

    Its not like it took me 3 hours to make all those. Maybe 20 minutes.

    Yeah, I just keep all my items on seperate layers in photoshop. Nice and easy.

    these will work fine, but if there is ever another avatar size change....

    Avatar Rotating Script : Online

    Props to Legacy for the hats.

    Oh for the curious

    .htaccess
    <FilesMatch avatar.png>
    SetHandler application/x-httpd-php
    </FilesMatch>

    avatar.png
    <?php
    $dh = opendir(".");

    while (false !== ($file = readdir($dh)))
    {
    	if (preg_match('/.(jpg|gif|png)$/i', $file) and $file != "avatar.png")
    	{
    		$filelist[] = $file;
    	}
    }

    srand((double)microtime()*1000000);
    $picnum = rand(0, sizeof($filelist) - 1);

    Okay, am i doing something wrong? If a rename avatar.png to index.php it works fine. But when i try the .png i get this error, The image “http://members.lycos.co.uk/rlove42/avatars/avatar.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

    Yep, and the host supports PHP and MySQL. I was amased it allowed such low level access by the way.

    Edit: This works.
    But this doesn't.

    Last time I checked (granted it was more than 6 months ago), lycos.co.uk did allow .htacess files, but it also adds advertisment code which fucks the image.
