I have a niece that I love to death, and my sister (her mother) just got an iPad for her birthday. As much fun as it is for her to load up Candy Crush and go to town, there comes a time where my niece sees the colorful explosions of candy and wants to watch it. She's figuring that as long as her daughter wants to play with the iPad (under careful supervision by mom, uncle Jay, or grandma), she may as well find her something worth playing with that will help her stimulate her mind and give her a bit of learning experience.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to good apps? Keep in mind that they're for a child who's about six weeks shy of her second birthday. Any ideas are appreciated!
