Need help identifying a picture

A couple of years ago, someone left this book on the free table at work with pictures of "mythological" creatures and generally bizarre drawings with descriptions of the images on the following pages. People were allowed to take individual pictures and by the time I ripped this one out, the page describing the sheep was gone. I've also forgotten the name of the book so if anyone could just tell me the name of the book it's from, that would be great. The actual description of the image would be a bonus.
