no one has ever 'gone all irond will' on anyone at the fancy dinner (at least not for the years i've been organizing it). we've set a tone for what sort of experience we'd like- relative dressiness. if people can't meet this for whatever reason or wish not to, they're not uninvited. anyone from chat has always been welcome. in my experience, though, those people who may not wish to dress above casual do so anyway because they don't want to disrupt the spirit of the event. they aren't seriously pressured to.
there's literally been one instance where someone got an eye-roll (kakos). it was because he very deliberately and thumbing-his-nosedly wore something to try and get a reaction out of will or myself.
If I every organized a dinner where someone showed up in a utlikilt, the restaurant could charge a $500 NERD surcharge, and I would pay it. They were right.

Fuckin hell I just had the most annoying encounter with a dude who takes up too much room on public transportation
Guy sits on the two seater next to me. Now he wasn't a large man by any means, and seemed to take this as license to read his newspaper with his arms and legs splayed out. He pretty much planted his elbow into my hip bone, jabbing it in with every shake and shudder of the train. No matter how I squirmed or tried to minimize how much space I was taking (bullshit) he his elbow kept goddamn jabbing and he didn't seem to take the hint.
I said "excuse me" and he went "oh sorry," adjusted, AND CONTINUED TO JAB
I finally just got up and moved to a different seat because are you fucking joking me dude
If I am getting 72 cents per share I'll be getting

.15 percent return.
Yeah, but you still get to keep the share in the company and the company has more cash, which makes it more valuable, which makes other investors want to buy it at a higher price.
I am old and have never heard of Kimbra. Her stuff is pretty good. Maybe I will buy another album made this decade, bringing my total up to about seven.

some stocks have really low dividends for a bunch of reasons
Yeah. My company has the same dividend at $92 a share that it did at $15. My "rate of return" now may be a helluva lot lower, but i can hardly bother to give a fuck.

the stock is $1920/share?
$0.72 * 4 quarters, divided by 0.15% = $1920
God just put me in a home already I hate this aging shit.

I don't think so. Cause (1920*.15)/4 = $72
The shares are at $180 right now. Going for just 6% that should come out to around $10.60. Divided by 4 should make that two bucks and change.
SOMEBODY HOLD MY HOOPS
I want more money this instant.
Part of that growth is that the shares go up in price as well, so they would be worth more for you to sell.
