There were all sorts of potential colors tested, though this seems to be one of the most common (and thus, the most survived). There were red ones made as well, multicolored, colorshifting, and even glow in the dark.

In the overall category of anime, I like 08th MS Team more than Gundam Wing.
It's a better anime, but it's not quite as good at Gundaming.
Isn't 08 closer to the original where gundams are good but the Zakus they are fighting are pretty damn good so you get less monsters of death and more like high quality military hardware with ace pilots?

In the category of Gundam anime, I like Gundam Wing slightly more than 08th MS Team.
In the overall category of anime, I like 08th MS Team more than Gundam Wing.
It's a better anime, but it's not quite as good at Gundaming.

I like the, "IT'S A GUNDAM!!!" aspect of Gundam Wing, when I want to watch a series about Gundams.
But in terms of an anime about characters that has feels and plot development, 08th is really good.
I give a shit about the 08th characters, whereas I just kinda like the Gundam Wing characters.
I've had it with Abbot and Davis both, to be honest. We're not going to get a better candidate for the GOP and Davis has alienated my wife and I both with her "all Republicans are evil" fundraising letters.
We were donating to her campaign before I lost my job, too. Unfortunate.
