I have been trying to get people to watch the Nick for weeks.

    It is good.

And God damn the production values on that show.

I watched it eating dinner last night with the latest episode.

I am not sure if that makes me crazy or have a stomach of iron.

Or that I grew up in a medical family so table talk wasn't normal.

    Hmm. Bioshock Infinite for $7.50?

    Worth it at that price.

    It is an okay/good game.

Try to forget all the damn hype.

    Ignore DLC.

I spent 12 and felt that was the right price for my experience with it.

Was at Best Buy with the lady getting her ipad so I went to the game section.

Went to the xbone demo unit and there was a MS rep there, explained he was a paid MS employee

Said that ALL Xbone games are 1080p and 60fps minimum, and that ONLY with xbox one and xbox live (not the ps4) do I get two free games per month.

I wasnt going to nerd out on him but I did walk away surprised that he lied like that.

People lie to sell stuff all the time.

The 60fps thing is a lie for sure, but there is a good technicality on the 1080p thing that both modern consoles make use of, in that all of the games scale up to whatever resolution your TV has, up to 1080p.

Like, Killzone being 960p or something, some launch titles being 720p... but all games "look like" 1080p to the television.

It's all silly. The games look fucking beautiful on both systems. Numbers are dumb.

The numbers matter because sometimes they put pressure on game companies to make the wrong choices. 1080p isn't visual magic.

Thing with the framerate stuff is that there are tons of PC games that are able to handle the 1080p 60 FPS because the hardware can. The argument from the PC gamer perspective is that this generation should be able to do that and let game creators start moving even more forward when it comes to graphics and thus the tech since there has been stagnation in the PC area because of the old generation.

Also if you are use to 60 fps and there is a drop of more than 5 fps for an extended purpose you will notice.

I notice it because I almost always use V-Sync so if my framerate drops at all, it goes from 60 to 30.

The difference between 30 and 60 is pretty easy to pick out.

I mean numbers are numbers and yeah bigger is better in a lot of ways. But a lot of people are not use to say 60 fps because the last gen almost never hit it. So the improvement is more visible for them.

yeah bowel surgeries are always kind the worst.

long story short this lady needed surgery once they realized that the large intestine/colon was basically swiss cheese

but this was one of those moments where the peppermint paste they usually keep in the surgery rooms came in -real- handy

So I was at Best Buy earlier today wearing a lime green tshirt and I had some guy believing I was working for Microsoft and I just started making stuff up about the Xbone.

Then I went home and played my WiiU.

When my friend worked for Apple people would ask about the next, unreleased iPhone. He would just make stuff up on the spot. One time he told them that the more you used it, the more your phone liked you, but if you stopped using it as often it would get sad and start deleting shit and texting your friends hate messages.

He doesn't work for Apple anymore.

Like I understand that you can't have infinite exploration in an fps. I am cool with that.

But I am not a fan of the my character lacking the ability to open doors.

As FPS go I would Shadow Warrior is way above Bioshock Infinite. I really want Wolfenstein because I hear that hits a whole different level.

I bought Quake 4 for XBOX 360 for $1. Nice and smooth when walking down hallways but the framerate becomes a slideshow when there is action onscreen.

Locked framerate > twitchy 60 fps

I'm gonna play Shadow Warrior when it comes to the XBone, because it feels like a game that would benefit from a cinematic living room setup. Was pretty tempted when it was on Steam sales, though.

    Its an old school fps.

Seriously I would stick to the controls it was made for.

It has more than one fight that just doesn't really work in my head on a controller. Precise aiming while dodging and swapping movement.
