So, this really doesn't like the idea of using a controller on it, which is kind of fustrating.
You have to use something like Joy2Key in order to use a controller. Flash doesn't play well with controllers, I believe because it can't interface with DirectInput or something.

Am I missing something, or is there really no efficient way to beat Mask of Infamy without piercing shots or something similar? The bastard ruined a few good runs for me already, every fight with him seems to take forever, I start getting sloppy and lose a fuckton of HP.

I listened to part of this yesterday. I hadn't paid attention to BoI news in a long time, but I am happy to hear that he said Rebirth was coming to Steam.

So this thread hasn't really been active in 2 years, but I was watching Patrick at Giant Bomb play this for the last month or so and it inspired me to pick it back up again. I basically stopped playing when Wrath of the Lamb came out for whatever reason. I think part of the problem was that my old PC just couldn't handle the game anymore; the slowdown was unbearable.
My newer PC does a lot better, though. I spent last Sunday clearing 5 of the challenges and now all I have left is the Purity challenge. Let me tell you, that one is rough. I actually had a really awesome run going the other day where I had the candle, a bunch of money and health, really powerful shots, etc. I died because I accidentally stepped on some spikes after reducing my health to 1 so I could get into one of those Boss Challenge Rooms. Because I am an idiot.
I'm finding the new stuff to be a lot of fun, though. Definitely didn't enjoy it when it first came out, but it's all good now. I'm also using SpiderMod to fix some of the apparent bugs.
The Binding of Isaac Rebirth is looking great. I hope it turns out well. Edmund McMillen's been posting lots of animated gifs of it at www.bindingofisaac.com. One of them shows Brimstone being used with Spoon Bender and it's pretty crazy.
I'm thinking about making a thread for rebirth in a bit, actually. The hype train is on full steam.
Probably not a bad idea.
Also, here's a good 30+ minutes of gameplay. I haven't watched the whole recorded video, but I did watch it live. It did not dissuade me from wanting the game.

Trailer doesn't really show much, it is weird on purpose. I'm still very excited about this game.
Game is out on Nov 4 for PC, PS4 and PSVita. I think it might be free for PS Plus people.

It's only slightly more disturbing for the original Binding of Isaac trailers, I'd say.
Also, definitely preordered this. Really looking forward to it! The co-op looks kind of neat, but I doubt I'll spend much time in that mode.
