I loathed Meltzer's run but gave McDuffie a shot based on the strengths of JL and JLU, and boy am I glad that I did. The art is horrible but the characterization and writing is spot on.
Randomly popped in my head, but I'd like to see someone like Don Kramer on JLofA. He's got his flaws but I always dug his work, and he's done with Detective Comics soon. Or maybe Rags Morales if he wasn't going on Nightwing.
I've mentioned it before, but I'd like someone with a nice, clean style on the book. A Chris Sprouse, Mike Norton, Jamal Igle, or Cliff Chiang kind of guy. Someone who can do kind of an old-timey, good natured style while still being able to handle darker, dramatic moments. I'd actually like to see Rags Morales on it too though. Reading through the Hourman series he illustrated back in the nineties, I couldn't believe what beautiful, consistent work he turned in month after month. If he can still handle a monthly workload then I'd love to see him on it.
Plus he publicly dissed Rob Liefeld, and that alone is enough to get me to support him.

Yes, but usually that costs extra. With Canary, she'll make you swallow all your teeth.
I think his goal is to stick in at least two JLU references in each issue. (not a bad thing)
Benitez is...meh to me. Everyone seems to be rocking a Jay Leno chin.

Chaykin was too busy.
Benes will be back next issue. I personally don't care for him, but I'm sure some will be happy. I think I'd rather have him than Benitez though.
