Club PA Pins!

calamityjamiecalamityjamie Corgi WranglerSeattle, WARegistered User staff
My dear friends of the Club PA Persuasion! Those of you who have not received your Club PA Pins, specifically. I have a plan for you. A bright future ahead- a future with a pin. A golden pin of Club PA. To clarify what's up with all this Club PA Pinny Pandemonium, some folks signed up for TinyPass with different emails than they filled out their Club PA Pin survey with, which meant we couldn't verify their Club PA sub to send them the pin. But we want to make sure that every Club PA member has that shiny gold pin, so if you haven't received yours, consult this handy guide!

1. I didn't get the initial form email used to collect my address and other pin-formation.
  • Write an email to merch@penny-arcade.com with the subject "Club PA Pin - No Form"
  • Include in the message the email linked to your TinyPass payment and your current contact email.
  • We will then verify your TinyPass account and send you the ClubPA Pin Survey to your contact email.

2. I filled out form, but received no pin.
  • We probably couldn't confirm your email. Sorry! Make sure you know your TinyPass payment email address- dig it out of your inbox! Also make sure you're emailing us from the same address that you used for the survey. Why do you use so many email addresses?!?
  • Email merch@penny-arcade.com with the subject "Club PA Pin - Email Confirmation"
  • Include in the message the email linked to your TinyPass payment.

3. I emailed Brian/Merch, never got response.
  • Brian sucks. PAX is hard. Email again. He's working on these now.
  • *Editor's note: Brian wrote this part. I think Brian is great and works very hard, and gets a lot of email. But do email him again, with the subject "Club PA Pin - Checkin"

4. I emailed Brian to confirm email address, never heard more.
  • This probably means that the pin was shipped (!!!) If that happened and you've STILL not received your pin in another 2 weeks, confirm your address with Brian by emailing him at merch@penny-arcade.com with the subject "Club PA Pin - Checkin"
  • We just sent a batch right before PAX, so there are little golden pins zipping all over.

For those of you hoping to get Club PA pins in the future, make sure you know what your TinyPass email address is and have that ready for confirmation when the survey comes around. We'll do our best to keep smoothing out the process and making awesome pins for you all! Thank you, thank you, thank you for being a part of Club PA!

Thank you and Brain for all your help I got my pin.

If we got our first Club PA pin from the initial sign up, should we be OK for future Club PA pins? Or should I have gotten another "What is your address" email? I just checked my Tinypass account and it shows both of my Club PA purchases so I figure I am fine.

I just got my email for re-upping Club PA yesterday, so the email that has your discount code and whatnot should have the request for your address for another pin (assuming you did the $30 level again).

My second pin was waiting for me when I got back from PAX, filled out the form again and everything went off without a hitch.

I forget if I filled it out during my renewal. Just filled it out again via that email. Thanks for reminding me about that email.

For people who signed up for multiple accounts...Did you get both pins at the same time??

  • zerzhulzerzhul Registered User, Moderator mod
People signed up for multiple ClubPA accounts just for the pins? Madness.

One man's madness is another man's dedication.

Not mine though, that shit is crazy.

I wonder how many are doing this as a hedge against future perks other than the pin.

I think rentfn was specifically refering to households with dual PA Fans that both wanted to be part of Club PA based on his verbage. Not so much people doing it just to get two pins.

  • FitzchivalryFitzchivalry PAXAUS Cookie Brigade Coordinator Orrstrahleeeeah mate!Registered User regular
Dual PA fans in 1 house? What a horrible thought! I'd have to stand guard over my collection with a shotty to ensure none of them "relocated" into another collection. ;)

  • QumadenQumaden World's Mightiest Mortal Registered User regular
The thought of having to obtain multiple sets of pins each PAX is maddening. Wait...I do that already, I just don't get the benefits that go with having two people in one household. I guess I should put "pin acquisition specialist" on my online dating profiles.

Assuming that you filled out the form for each of your accounts and there were no issues verifying your email, yes - you should have. If you did not, shoot an email to merch@penny-arcade.com with the subject "Club PA Pin - Checkin" and specify in your email that you should have multiple pins shipping to the same address. Thanks!

Thanks so much, I will do that!!! I stand guilty of starting two accounts. I can only make it to PAX East each year so I thought More pins more trading for the ones I am missing. Yay being crazy ;)

    1) I got both my pins! So you guys rock!

    2) @zerzhul I signed up for the $30 Club PA because of the pin(s). I figure $10 pin and $10 store credit is worth it, versus the $10 Club PA level. :) So, yea, I paid the extra for the pin. Brain squirrels, man.

I am not surprised at one account for the pin. I am mildly surprised at multiple accounts for pins since one account can already get two pins per year. nbd either way

How long do you think is reasonable to wait for the follow-up e-mail? I did finally get my forum badge, and the site privileges showed up right away, but still no follow-up e-mail.

  • adambargadambarg Forward the Pinglorious Basterds!Registered User regular
Couple of days? I think that's how long it took for mine to show up.

Mine took over a week, but I signed up 4 days before PAX which was obviously a reason why it had a hiccup. Give it a few more days imo.

Yup signed up the same day it expired, and got the emails a few hours later. 2nd Pin arrived in Australia within 1.5 weeks

  • Aussie BenAussie Ben AustraliaRegistered User regular
No, I haven't received my second Club PA pin yet. I also signed up on the day it expired and live in Australia.

  • redfield85redfield85 Registered User regular
    That...doesn't help. Hahaha.

I just filled out the form again and left a note saying so. I'll give it a week or two. No rush.

I signed up straight away and got my pin in Australia about a week ago when I checked the mail after being out of town for 2 weeks, so yeah.

I feel like i missed something.... i signed for for Club PA just after Prime 2014 and I dont think I got any follow-up at all.

How do I get the $10 credit and discount code? And the address info for the pin? Is that a separate email / a message on the boards / a link in TinyPass?

I have sent an email to the merch account at penny arcade, I was just asking here since I went looking for some description on the site and I could not find that either.

They send you an email to the address registered to the ClubPA flagged account. The subject line of mine was "Club PA perks - merch discount"

ok, somthing happened with me. I got the email confirmation from TinyPass and the email about getting the badge on the forums - but not this "form" we speak of.

I suppose this Pax AUS / Prime has something to do with it all.... :)

I'll give the email I sent to "merch" another day or so before I start to get worried. Thanks everyone.

It looked like this - you had to click on the link at the bottom to get to the google form to get your pin.

    Welcome to Club PA!
    Perhaps even welcome BACK.
We're so happy to have you as a member. Among the perks of your membership is a 5% discount on our store. Behold!

    SUPER SECRET CODE

That’s your own, personal code for the next 6 months so keep it secret. Keep it safe. And enter it in the "discount code" field at checkout whenever you make a purchase on our store during that time.

You should note that this discount will apply to all Penny Arcade items on the store, but it will NOT apply to your shipping costs or items from our friends, like Camp Weedonwantcha or ArenaNet merch. But, we will have some items on the store that are exclusively available to you as a Club PA member and your discount will TOTALLY apply to those.

If you’re unfamiliar with our shop, you can find it here: store.penny-arcade.com.

As a $30+ backer you also get a $10 gift card too! That’s also presented as a code. This one: SUPER SECRET CODE 2. You’ll redeem this at checkout, but as a Gift Card instead of as a discount code. If you get to checkout and are for whatever reason confused by this distinction, email us at merch@penny-arcade.com and we’ll help you with the speed of an African swallow carrying a coconut.

Finally, your $30+ member spoils include a shiny Club PA Pinny Arcade Pin. In order to send you yours, we need to gather your shipping information; and to do that, we'll use the magic of forms. So kindly fill this out this form and we'll get that pin on its way to you. If you've renewed your subscription, please fill out the form a second time for your second pin.

Now, please, accept our thanks for your support and go enjoy your deserved perks!

You probably should've gotten something by now, but I'd shoot them an email. Earlier in the thread I posted saying I signed up less than a week before PAX and it took about a week after PAX for me to get my email with the codes and whatnot.

I'm guessing the emails also go out in batches. Signed up again a week and a half ago and haven't received the welcome email yet, but I did get the ClubPA email. No biggie since they've been good about getting everyone their pin(s).

Figured it out. Classic n00b mistake...
;tldr: Search your trash/spam folders specifically.

Looks like the email was funneled to spam or something and then deleted since I did not read the subjects that closely. I was also assuming that when I was searching the mail, that I was searching _all_ of it. Apparently not. When I specifically called out to search just the trash, viola - there it was. Unread. With all the codes and form links that I needed.

This may also be of note: The message with the codes/discount were sent 10 after I received the email about the new badge.
