I should have marked that /sarcasm.

It's still the first quarter, and I feel this is appropriate:

Rainey looking like a good pickup and start. Lot of runs for a fumbling back on a team down 28....

Fortunately I also have Matt Ryan and Julio Jones on that team so they should cover his inadequacy. Hopefully

Started Rainey and Vincent Jackson. I can go ahead and expect that their awfulness will infect the rest of my team.

So potential record on hand for the most points scored by a team in a game?

Current records according to wikipedia are 73 points in any game, 72 in a regular season game and 62 points in a game since the AFL/NFL merger.

never happens. teams just let up if they're up a ton. would have to be a crazy game with tons of quick scores (like the 58-48 cincy browns game a few years back)

As a PSA, here is the rest of my team. Adjust your rosters accordingly:

    P. Manning, D. Thomas, V. Jackson, B. Cooks (NO), Morris (WAS), Sproles (PHI), Olsen (CAR), Rainey (LOL), Vinateri (IND), and Cleveland DEF/S

Is it not good for the player's confidence to keep scoring? I can understand maybe switching out some of the better players to give players lower on the roster game time and experience.

I request this game end now under mercy rule. It has absolutely nothing to do with my opponent having Julio Jones.

Ok, maybe it has a little to do with it....

The more important thing is that it's safer to play more conservatively when it's a blowout so you don't risk injuring your starters. Switching out some of the starters for backups is definitely something we'll be seeing in the second half to avoid that scenario.
