(actually, I do have a problem with my arches, I tend to get cramps in them when I go to bed if I don't wear shoes with arch support. But I just don't like how chucks feel... just nothing between your feet and the ground but a thin piece of rubber. I prefer more padding and cushion, I guess.)
I have the exact same problem, actually, so I can't wear my Chuck's for more than a day or two before rotating to other shoes. Few things in this world suck nearly as bad as foot-arch cramps at 4am. Fuck that noise.
But yeah we can still totally fight about it if you want
Just my opinion, but I don't get why you'd even buy shoes that you just admitted aren't comfortable on you. That makes no sense to me.

Oh, never said they weren't comfortable. To me they feel like canvas-wrapped flip-flops....comfortable, but not for extended periods of time because there's just no arch support. After a couple days I need to switch off to other shoes with a bit more support, that's all.
I do nothing but buy shoes. It is a sickness. I need to seek help. I personally must have 25+ pairs. Add to this madness the fact that I wear a size 15, and it becomes a nail-biting expedition to find every last pair.
Secret Shame:
I have been known to buy and wear size 13 shoes just because they look awesome. blisters.
