This episode was made of 85% win and 15% awesome. Cheerleader girl is now not only hot, but also badass. Hiro still retains the top spot of most awesome with the last scene in the episode. The teasers for next episode made me happy in the pants region. :^:
As an aside, when the hell did network TV allow so much skin? The part where psycho mom got undressed was hot, but I didn't think I'd ever see that on NBC. Apparently a lot has changed in the five or so years since I've watched network TV shows.
You haven't watched network TV in 5 years?
man, you missed the mom from Everybody Loves Raymond showing some sideboob

If they show flabby man-ass, they had better show hot covered woman-ass.

Woah.................what season did this happen in?
I thought this was gonna be a family show; you know, juggling and some puppets.
I just checked out the third comic for the show. Apparently Nathan isn't a total douche. Unless it has to do with his campaign. And interacting with his brother.
Oh yeah, and :v: for the writer having him rescue someone from a burning building. The only way it'd be more cliche is if Hiro used his time powers to stop a purse snatcher and tie the bad guy up like Spidey.

Man, future Hiro must really be far into the future: He's speaking perfect english, has some kickass katana along with swank gear, and appears to have gotten lasic eye surgery or at least contacts.
Or maybe i'm just overestimating the time frame here, I don't know.

Damnit, Hiro. What kind of superhero uses his power in full view of security cameras?
the kind that stop time
Yeah, but it's not as though they wouldn't notice the discrepancies between one moment in the video and the next. Even if the casino employees don't attribute it to super powers and the video nevers makes its way to the government, they'd still think it was a glitch and assume the Japanese dudes are cheating.
And is stripper mom's power something as simple as having a split personality?
I don't think so. Personally, I think she's got more of the super strength/reactions like Spider-Man. I mean, she tore that one guy in half in her garage (unless I mis-heard that line, I mean I thought Hiro said "scarf" obviously, my hearing isn't that good).
I'm thinking that the split personality might be purely a psychological thing. Possibly developed after she offed her boyfriends gang when they tried to hurt her son. The alternate personality is the one that's aware that she has powers and how to use them, while the normal personality is only gradually becoming aware.
I think I missed an episode. When those guys broke into her house and asked her to strip, weren't they videotaping it? And then when she killed them, wasn't the camera still running? Did she ever watch the tape?

It was all staticy, then she woke up and four hours had past, she had new clothes and was at the airport.

The episode after that, she was talking to her kid on the phone, said she'd pick him up in a little bit, then watched the tape and suddenly it was 4 hours later and she wasn't covered in gore.
I don't know. This may seem farfetched but I think her power is like tappin into another universe or somthing where we are our the oppsite of ourselves. Somthing to do with reflections.
Seems odd I know, but hey, super Hiro.
Also I still think that kid is super intelligent and will like eventully be able to build super cool gadgets and stuff.
So, uh...Am I really the only one that find Hiro fucking awesome?
Ah, much better.
I loved the one scene that was an homage to Rainman. However, Hiro's friend is a bit of a douche. Good job talking shit to people in English so that Hiro has no clue what's going on.
you know, Shoe's analogy with rising stars fits in pretty well with Web Cam Mom's power.
From Wiki for Rising Stars
Stephanie Maas (Critical Maas) - Split personality able to access powers of flight, super-strength and speed, broadcast telepathy, and the ability to psychically control any Special she has been in physical contact with.
and it should be noted that one personality was stephanie Maas, meek and weak willed with no powers and the other personality is Critical Maas strong, cruel and had the noted powers mentioned in the wiki entry.
Aside from what powers actually are, i see some pretty good similaritys.

I'm guessing that they wanted split-personality-hulk-girl to [spoiler:ce4c1aa12c] have sex with Nathan, so they could video tape it, and blackmail a politician. [/spoiler:ce4c1aa12c]
I really wanna know what the bald black guys power is. seems to be something like mind reading, but more refined/powerful than the cops. Maybe, mind erasing, or something to do with memories?
Anyone know what "Creepy Dad's" fake occupation is? He is leaving all the time.
My crackpot theory is that Syler is the power-mimicking guy but from the future. I think something drastic will happen sometime in the season that will dramatically change mimic-guy's perspective on things (perhaps he'll find out he's destined to die or something). He will eventually lash out at all of the heroes while they're gathered and Hiro will scar him with his katana. I think this whole thing might boil down to some sort of weird time paradox where Syler is mimic-guy gone back in time to stop the formation of the heroes for some reason.
Anywho, fill in the details however you'd like. I think the Petrelli brother is Syler but doesn't even know it yet.

It is possible, but I'm thinking not. The phone conversation between Sylar and Pappa Mohinder (episode 2) seems to imply that Pappa found Sylar and jump started him. I guess it would be possible that Peter goes back in time and contacts Pappa, but it doesn't seem to fit.
My little theory is that our heroes cause the nuklear explosion. Like a lesser of two evils thing. Sylar's global threat > loss of New York.

But would the censors allow the writers to portray blowing up New York as a good thing?

Probably not. But they seem to be really hitting the dark, flawed-heroes, motif and that, combined with the prologue text that they would "change the world forever", makes me think it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

and doing my homework
fuck it is weird
But that's what Hiro would do.
Not on Heroes, no. It was years ago, made all that commotion.

And I'm not sure but some of the future boy's artwork looks like it's drawn by Tim Sale.
And yeah, Tim Sale does the artwork.

Also, can someone spoil the preview for next week? I never got to see it.
Also(2), split personality girl has that symbol tatooed on her shoulder blade. I'm not sure exactly what I think of the whole mysterious symbol thing.

Why, that's not fixed at all!
3DS: 1607-3034-6970
There are a couple of differences
[spoiler:a4e71d8403]ikiN has fuller hair and has the "S" tattoo on her right shoulder whereas Niki does not [/spoiler:a4e71d8403]
That and being a total badass.

They should have stuck to roulette.

pissed that they didn't go back to him?
or pissed that he was only half naked and in bad lighting?
And you think the cop is hot? Really?
Are we watching the same show.... :P
Her?
there is nothing wrong with how he looks
he looks like a fun guy to hang out with
you know
drink a few beers
watch some porn
beat each other off into the night
And mutual handjobs would be great, provided the lights were out.
You read my mind
