I can completely sympathize with Brain. I had sensitive ears back in elementary/middle school, and I was the quiet kid while everyone was making a racket. I always hated the noise that my fellow students made, especially during lunch when all the talking and yelling echoed throughout the cafeteria. (The teachers and staff were equally as annoyed.)
It actually got so bad for me that I actually had my parents get me some special headphones just to block out the noise. Brian's a stronger kid than I was, that's for sure.
Just wanted to point out an observation that all the vocalizing from all the other kids is perceived as noise, but Seventeen's voice is music to Brian's ears...

Woah, good catch!
And dang, I just keep getting more and more impressed with this comic. There are layers and layers to it.
I thought the line was "the lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night..."
I'm 100 percent Brian in this comic. You don't know how HOW MUCH my friends text me and hound me for advice and to help them with stuff they can do themselves. Oi.

Seriously, Katie, if you have him a long Dothraki plait beard, he'd basically be me :P
Also, That kitty wasn't even trying, did he not get the "You're meant to hide" memo.
There's another, better hidden cat.
Troll Level: Advanced.... but still not Expert.
*leans in close and whispers:* you're welcome.
Based on his temper and possible history of abuse, I've always assumed that was a broken nose ridge.
