Nah, every little "hint" I've seen reviewers make about the game prior to the embargo lifting has suggested that this shit is fucking BIG.

Bioware have said that a complete playthrough where you do absolutely everything takes 150-200 hours.

Well, I mean most Bioware games usually tend to take me 40-50 hours so one where you'll definitely spend more time traveling taking 80 is believable.

Then you have to take into fact that this game has more "extra" content than a lot of Bioware games have had in a while so I can see easily getting over a 100 hours.

Those numbers simultaneously excite and horrify me. On the one hand, so much content, on the other hand, oh my god that takes so much time. I'm optimistic that it won't feel like loads of filler, but I don't know how much of that is that I just don't want it to be.

Gaider talks about Cole having the mind of a child, would be interesting if he's actually really easy to manipulate and mold him to your beliefs.

    Holy crap.

A complete, do absolutely everything, yes, even explore all the markers on planets (albeit with a guide) run on Mass Effect is something like 45 hours.

80+ in one game? As a completionist, this is going to KILL me. D: On the other hand, if I enjoy the entire time through...well, I don't need to sleep for a week.

Rogue was far and away the overpowered class of DA2, right?

I never tried warrior, and my mage playthrough was when the game came out (so I don't remember much), but in my recent run I did rogue and it was truly ridiculous. Like, I know the PC's are always going to outclass companions, but the degree at which my rogue did it was insane

Yeah it is, and they nerfed rogues in the big gameplay balance patch, too.

I might go for a warrior Inquisitor my first time through, but Rogue is always calling. We'll see, I suppose!

As someone who savors ungodly amounts of content in Bethesda games, this is going to be a glorious gen if everybody is going to be trying to ride the Skyrim train.

Well, I still hope a good amount of that content is side stuff even though I plan to do it all.

I actually hate when the main plotline goes on for too long.

I knew Bioware turned things around when they gave you the ability to start fights with farm animals.

Yeah...I saw that trailer and them picking a fight with the farm animals then handily getting their asses kicked was hilarious.

Yep, it's time for the DA2 healing argument again

Checking it? You mean you don't set you clock to it?

The amusing thing about it is that it wouldn't actually be an argument if people didn't hate Anders so badly. No one actually cares about the healing mechanics in DA2; they only hate the fact that they have to bring Anders along.

I'm pretty sure I remember complaining about the potion cooldowns in the demo

The VAs aren't race specific, there's just 2 for each gender

I'm having a little bit of trouble wiht the Last Court. Despite the messages about skills increasing with use, mine have never gone up at all. Is it like this for everyone or is it some sort of browser-specific bug?

I think it's just they say they're improving when they gain XP, and only actually increase once they hit a certain point. E.G., you gained Woodswise experience, but not enough to rank it up another point. They'll level up eventually, but it's pretty slow.

Not really. It allows you to use the British voice on a Qunari if you dislike the American voice.

From what I can tell, its just like that. Completing a challenge doesn't actually raise skills. The only way to raise them is through events that specifically say that they raise the skill.

It's already 4 voices at a bajillion hours of game. I always thought SR3/4's 7 voices were impressive, but I think this game will dwarf that line count.

They can definitely rank up from completing challenges, it just takes multiple successes.

    Things I loved:
    Cassandra's armor.
    The NPCs
Base plot (go around being a badass Inquisitor) is yes please

    Things I was indifferent about:
XBox One didn't seem like it was up to handle it. It could have been the stream, but it was occasionally choppy and the visuals seemed plastic during cut scenes
It was a very Mass Effect intro (ONLY YOU CAN SAVE US FROM THE GETH REAPERS DEMON PORTALS)
    Gameplay looked kinda MMO-y

    Things I disliked:
Wasn't thrilled with the voice acting I heard from (one of?) the female PCs

Pretty confident about a preorder, will wait for reviews tonight though.

I'll be interested in seeing how long it actually takes, since companies always inflate these numbers.
