I think I may set up a panini station for my holiday thing this year. That sure would be an interesting way to burn down the place.

making grilled cheese isn't hard..making a good grilled cheese isn't hard

but there are methods and secret roads that take it from great to amazing

i am interested in making rarebit sometime.

a whole lot of promise, rarebit.

Tell me about the rarebits, George

so it's real similar to a mornay sauce poured over bread. similar to fondue.

you make a cheese sauce, usually starting with a roux (cook flour + butter until golden), then adding milk, which turns it into a bechamel. then you add beer until it's all emulsified. then you stir in grated sharp cheese (cheddar usually tho you could use gruyere). do this gradually at low heat so the sauce doesn't break. season with salt, pepper, cayenne, worcestershire, parsley etc. finally, take off heat and whisk in egg yolk.

pour over good toasted french bread pieces.

Not bad, I'd probably try to put more negative space around the edges and add a bit more font size variety though.

Wow, thank you! It's being printed on standard A5 paper and the image is about .25" smaller all the way around, which gives it a good 1/2 inch gutter all the way around when printed.

i felt a pang of some vague social guilt prefacing person with 'comically ugly' and then attaching that whole phrase to an implicitly negative assessment of life situations

but i also felt that it was important for some reason that it's scarra and not bjergsen-chan

It's a flyer, not a poster, so it can support more words. But yes, it's a bit too wordy.

yeah but these flyers seem to be focused on proselytizing. I imagine the "old folks who enjoy reading things on flyers and have the time to do so" would not be a target demo in this case.
