So I just did a test with another user and realised that if you receive an offer and send a message to let them know why you're declining and then click the 'reject offer' button the other person never gets to see the message you sent them, all they see is the offer rejected because the recently closed offers section doesn't have a trade history button and there is no digital record sent to our email when you receive a message.
Is there a way we can get this fixed? Maybe the 'view history' button could show up on any closed/rejected trades if there are messages attached to them?
I just know that it means the last few trades I've rejected haven't seen the messages I wrote to them and that makes me feel bad
Edit: PS if Dman3003 is on here with a different username, Overkill did send you a follow up message explaining that his proxy did end up trading his Chandras away at Aus but you probably didn't see it because he closed the offer, sorry, he didn't just cold reject you I swear!
Yep I have noticed this, I will actually update that right now, as I've also rejected a few offers and felt bad it was reasonless. It also doesn't really help new traders to just be rejected without knowing what might have been the cause.

You can now view the history of Closed offers (if they had two participants), it will also notify the other person of unseen messages as normal and it will date stamp the time you declined.
Note: It will turn read-only when you close it, so if you have something to say, do so before closing it. When I have more time, I think I'll just ask when closing it "Would you like to leave a reason?", so you don't have to remember this step.

I just noticed that you can't start a discussion with someone after you claim their trade from the trading post. I understand not being able to alter it, but being able to ask some questions might be useful.

Mostly because claims are not revealed to the owner until the moment they attempt to claim one, then they're shown a claim at random and can't see the next until they reject the one they're viewing. It's a system in place to keep from always bias trading the claimer with the highest score or rejecting a claim "to see who else might come along" etc

Fixed, thanks. Bad ordering of conditional statements, you had reason to view the offer, as you were once involved in it but it should only show it to you as "Closed". Regardless, you wouldn't have been able to do anything with it or view the message history, as other guards would have prevented that.
Any chance we can actually make it so we can view "Archived" trades, or should we just change the archive button to "delete"?

After that, smaller things can start being done. It sounds odd but every time you detour to do a small thing, you push the bigger features out further and further.
@grgemonkey If you want to add a paypal donate button somewhere on the page, I am sure that alot of us would like to reward you for your awesome work.
I fixed the double listed name but it's pretty minor, so I didn't push it as a new version. You'll stop seeing it whenever your browser feels like refreshing the cache
So I made a claim on a trade on the trading post. Turns out the user didn't have one of the pins, so I just sent them a new direct trade offer without it, but it doesn't look like we have any way of both graciously backing out of the first one without it either being a positive or neutral trade.
