Probably that is Sunterese for "Damnit stop buying them so fast I have to get the boxes shipped from the printers and then assemble them and everyone's fingers are shredded with tiny cuts and we can't clean and bag the pins any faster without getting poked in the cuts why do you want us to suffer?"

I'd probably like speaking Sunterese. It would be a soft-spoken yet pun-heavy language.

Was debating on buying a couple to have trade bait, put 2 in the cart, and did some stuff at work, and went back and they were sold out. Oh well.

I'm anxious to see what the Lookouts to non-Lookouts ratio is in these haha.

I bought 4, I am hoping I get no lookouts as that would be boring. I am also one of the few that never bought the lookouts set. I try to buy pins that I actually like rather than just buying them for the sake of filling out my collection. Hopefully that isn't something I regret down the line.

That would be nice. But the reality is, these blind boxes will be made from the staff trade-ins. And the overwhelming majority of the pins traded in to staff are Lookouts.

    We shall see...

I bought a couple for fun, but yea, if you think it's not going to be 80% look outs, you're much more optimistic than I am.

Does anyone think if they had any DLC pins they'd put them into these?

Pro: Word of mouth from just one person getting one in a blind box would send sales through the roof for months.

Con: Auctioning them for Child's Play gets you money directly.

You'd probably spur more sales/make more money going with the first option, so hopefully!

I'll jump on the mild optimism train, and guess that these will only be 50% lookouts. I can't imagine even a single DLC will ever be in there -- but they wouldn't want to just cram them full of every lookout they have and sour the initial opinion of these boxes.

Actually what I think they might do is release the Refurbished Pins in waves. I'm just theorising, but now that Lookouts have sold out, it could be that we see the Core Sets, East 13 Logos, Aus 13 and Prime 13 Pins in the first lot, and then in a future wave of DSB we will start to see Lookouts which by that time might be sought by newer collectors.

It can't be over 50% because they stated that there will not be two pins from the same set in any box.

Nice catch on that! I had skimmed over that part and only thought it was no exact duplicates. So there we go, every single box is guaranteed to have at least one non-lookout pin :D

I think people overestimate the amount of lookouts the staff has. I'm sure it's a lot, but the tables at East didn't have THAT many compared to Prime.

By the end of Prime and Aus, there were plenty of scouts on the tables.

For Aus, I think plenty of people had only just started collecting and would probably only had Lookouts, Twisp/Catsby or Aus2014. Lookouts was the cheapest way to get pins (bar expo hall grinding) and therefore makes the most sense to trade them away.

I tried some expo hall grinding for pins, but I barely got any in the hat I had laid out in front of me before I was escorted out by security for lewd behaviour.

I definitely agree there's a lot, but I just recall a lot of core pins as well, so HOPEFULLY we won't see a shit ton of Lookouts from the get go with the blind boxes... though out of my 3 boxes I assume I'll get at least 2.

And also at Aus they had the Lookouts there, so that definitely makes sense.

My prediction is that they will primarily be made up of pax core, PA online, some staff pins and a sprinkling of shiny things (LE and uncommon Pax pins). I have very little Non-Aus and online pins so I have high hopes I'll pick up some ones I don't already own

I'm mainly in it to rebuild my trade fodder after PAX Aus. Although there's a slim chance I'll get something I don't have.
